Most new people find out you have to get your *** off the seat, and some never learn, get tired of crashing, and quit. lol

Lol well that's a bit of a given, when we rode the whoops on the train tracks going to the the places we rode at I don't think I would ever get a chance to have my *** on the seat. I basically was forced into retirement by my parents. I was going way too fast into the whoops and jumped a farm entrance, landed flat and ****ed myself up. My Mom bought my bike off me in an agreement that i wouldn't get another one till I had kids of my own. (I think I was a freshman in hs at this time) Lo and behold at 20 i get my own street bike but that's another story

There going to be cold as soon as they are out in the ambient temperature. Your best bet is to just ride slow.

This, you can use the brakes to warm up the tires a little bit faster as well.

A heat gun is mostly just going to heat the surface. it would take a while to fully warm it up.

The heat gun might actually be too hot, It will turn metal orange so I decided not to try that. I just rode it around the neighborhood for a couple mins just to get things going. It was super cold out today, I could only ride for an hour before my hands were numb

UCLEAR hbc100.jpeg
Got my UCLEAR HBC100 Helmet Communicator in the mail today. Got home too late to test it on the bike. But so far I am really impressed. The speakers sound great. I love that the mics are integrated into the speakers so there is no mic boom to deal with. It was a cinch to install and paired to my Iphone easily. Love the voice answer and dial too.
Can't wait for a warm day so I can test the noise cancellation to see how clear calls are.
***click on the pic to see it larger.

Knox is supposed to be good stuff. Looks nice.
Forgot to mention, a buddy of mine crashed on our ride sunday. He was wearing his leather jacket, gloves, helmet, jeans and sneakers. One thing I always notice in these situations, the sneakers are the first thing to come off! Broken ankle, wrist, and collarbone + dislocated shoulder and a gnarly concussion. His faceshield opened mid crash and something hit him in the face. His eyes were swollen up.
Gear up and ride safe guys. He shouldn't have been riding the way he was riding dressed like that

Was it a low side? Did his leather jacket have any padding.

Jacket was a nice high end RS-taichi (until they cut it off of him).
He as up at the front of the group, and they were rolling. Cars had dragged some mud out into the road right into the middle of the turn. Not sure exactly how he crashed but he hit the pavement and slid off the road, down a hill through a rock lined ditched, etc. It was bad.

At least those are relatively all mild injuries compared to anything that may be life threatening minus the concussion. Glad he is alive.

Yep luckily he should be fine. It's become a familiar scene to me. A couple of weeks ago another guy from the same crowd hit a deer doing well over 100mph
