I will never EVER run from the cops. One of my good friends did and he wrecked five minutes from his hours. Needeless to say, he's not around to talk about the story...be smart. A ticket isn't as bad as losing your life.

It's like right now, pieces that should have no problem just sliding on won't fit.

Like the exhaust won't go flush with the engine.... gah

Well mounting it to the right spot helps, but damn it's still all a *****. ha

lol, just remember to not tighten everything up tight at once... leave it all loose and guide it in then tighten it all down evenly and torque it right.

Guy on an sti cut me off one night coming home from work. Next light, he's got his window down, waving at me to race. I didn't. Next light, I ignore him again, so he cut me off again. So I got pissed. Revved it, he revved. I pinned out first, then second, then checked my mirrors at third. He had backed off throttle and gave up. Had his window up when I was waiting for him at the next light. Only time I ever got pissed enough to race someone.

But I'm lucky, I ride home after 10pm, usually don't have to deal with too many *******s then.

Also, I've put 4k miles on my 1200 sporty this summer, a good deal of it riding the twisties over the storm king mtn, and the gunks. But I took an MSF course, and rode dirt bikes and three wheelers as a kid. It's got a big motor, but not a lot of power for the size, like 80 horse the way I got it, but close to 600lbs. I laid my Harley down once this summer cause a ******* college kid in my town stepped out onto the highway in front of me. I got swerved around him and got the bike stopped, but lost my balance and dropped the bike. I stayed standing. Still haven't dropped the Ducati, but I barely ride it, it's set up for my girl and I'm too tall for it. Thing is very uncomfortable. But at half the cc of my sporty, and half the weight, that thing scares me. It's lowered, and I drag my toes making turns at stop signs. It wheelies if I launch it, unless I lean way forward. And I haven't even taken it on rides longer than 10 miles. But if that's what riding a sport bike is like, y'all can keep it. It's uncomfortable. Awkward feeling. If I had started on that thing, I would have quit or crashed by now. If you're starting out on one, good luck to you. I hope when you crash, it's not terribly fatal.

Have you considered taking an msf class?
I just finished the MSF course about an hour ago, it was 10 hours yesterday and about 4 today. Learned quite a bit. I've been riding it through my neighborhood mainly, we have a lot of turns and stuff so its pretty good practice.

Today was fun.

Battery in her Triumph died 10 miles from home, so she was hugging mine.

So she rode this old girl. Ugly as the day is long, but reliable.

So you're lumping all sport bikes into one category and going back to H-D based on your experience with some unnamed lowered ducati?

What kinda bike is it?

So you got too much bike and it's lowered for your gf to ride. Don't get me wrong I'm not a huge fan of supersports for comfort, but most sport touring bikes i've sat on and rode were excellent all around bikes. As long as it has a semi upright position I can ride all day.

Speaking of riding, I apparently live in a cloud. Even my ski goggles got fog on the outside.
