Someone posted what I am getting at is the other person knows what they're doing. YES I completely agree. It is a competence issue. I have everything in front of me at Akuma... it seems like Josh is hiding or doesnt know the details.
My dad gave me sound advice: if you're going to do something; do it right the first time. You dont want to dick around with people who are there to take your money and make a profit. At the end of the day; would you rather pay for something right the first time even though its a little more expensive than to pay for something slightly cheaper but have to continually hassle with people to get it to the final product?
Lets face it; you cannot put a price on loyalty and a business that will stand behind its services. IIR offers products but once those products are installed whos to say "the tuner didnt do it right" or such similar statements if something were to go wrong with the part...
If I go through John and Akuma then he hand inspects every detail and builds it himself. He said he will NOT open up the IIR block because if there is something wrong; he knows josh will blame it on him. He also said there could very likely be NOTHING wrong with his block and it could save me a decent chunk of change.
However, it is this chunk of change I am relying on to be done correctly ONCE. Or if it has to be redone that it is done so taking my loss into consideration. I do NOT see this happening with IIR.
So with that said; I am 99.5% likely to go through John. I also have a possible buyer for my old block and also have a buyer lined up to buy my VF, walbro, and DW injectors because john says the DWs are prone to tuning inconsistency
getting 900cc FICs instead
