Also, TCU starting QB Pachall was arrested for DUI. Reports are surfacing that he has also failed multiple drug tests and it's reasonable to expect a 2 game suspension (vs Iowa State, at Baylor).

I added to my above post. Basically, NU is going to announce a new Athletic Director in the coming days and it's not someone internal. Myself, as well as many others I know of, are not exactly blown away by the hire. The rumored name: Shawn Eichorst, AD at Miami (Fl)
Harvey Perlman has not had success hiring AD's. He brought in Peterson from Pitt. Osborne fell into his lap and was left with no choice there. Osborne made great moves and someone needs to be there who was part of the Osborne regime to carry those through.
I understand most problems for Eichorst at Miami were there before he entered the program, but he has not been there long enough really to establish himself, the fact that he's already cutting and running indicates to me there's something more going on down there, and he has no history there. Eichorst did work as an associate AD under Alvarez at Wisconsin, but Alvarez gave the recommendation for Steve Peterson also. Now I hope Perlman has done his due dillegence and investigated this guy, but I have SERIOUS doubts. |
