Bolt Polishing

I've been looking into polishing my bolt and I can't find any recommendations at to what grit sand paper, what kind of polish or tools or anything. Has anyone done this and can spread their knowledge?

ill be honest with you, your best bet is buying BW bolt, or send your bolt to pooty and get your bolt/can polished for 25 bucks, he does it professional, as to yourself you could take too much off, and also it's not as good work

If you want to polish it yourself you can take off all of the orings and let the bolt soak in a stovetop cleaner (has to be the heavy duty stuff) to remove your anodizing from the bolt. Then sand your bolt down with 3000 grit sandpaper and then polish it with mothers mag and aluminum polish. After that its as smooth as glass

Though I do enjoy doing my own mods and I am more than capable of doing a good job, $25 is hard to beat.
