Dangerous Power Fx

is the FX a good gun or is it better to just get and axe?

personally i would choose the FX, do some research on both the markers and talk to owners, and try to shoot them and decide on how it feels to you and which you prefer

I like the FX because of the OLED board and the barrel is a little nicer

but the Axe is a great gun also, feels amazing in the hands (prference) and i thought it shot a little smoother and quieter.

Im a little biased towards dangerous power, so go do some research on which you like better!

I'd say Axe just because of the fact they are far more reliable than any gun DP will ever make...

Dp is not the most reliable gun out there, empire is a strong brand that sticks behind their markers.

Axe.

dp is reliable. the only reason why people think that they arent is because begginers buy a dp and dont take care of it and it stops working so they sell it and so on.the only other exception is the bad lube that comes on g4s but you just change the lube. axe is a really smooth shooting marker though.

^This. DP's customer service is terrible now-a-days though. Been playing for almost 10 years and I've owned dozens of markers, and still use a DP Rev-I as my main tourney markers.

They're simple to work on, have some great cool innovative features (like the switchblade trigger), and have great OLED APE boards. I'd still recommend trying both and seeing what feels more comfortable to you.

You are aware that DP makes more than one gun right? The G4 is the one that everyone had problems with due to bolt stick, and that combined with the lackluster customer service turned a bunch of people off. The FX is what I shoot, and I absolutely love it. The board is incredible, and it is very easy to maintain.

personally i own a Fusion FX and it is amazing. i love it in every sense. it handles so nicely, and the cuts in the body make it so slim and light... and nice to look at also.

the board on it alone is enough to make you buy it. it makes the gun operate like one twice its price and its nice and clean to look at as well.

its extremely air efficient as well. i have both techt bolt and ram upgrades, along with a freak barrel and i get about a hopper and 8-9 pods out of my 68/4500 at 275fps

Yes if your looking to pay around 400-500 its the gun to with, but there are a few other guns that i would take over a Dangerous Power.

Proto Reflex Rail
Axe
invert mini
Alien Invasion (high end marker if you go right place can obtain for 600).

My point being is i have had almost every Dangerous power gun in the past, and im going to tell you straight forward every time i have used a E1 G4, fx, i have had some problem the second im ready to play, and it cost me a extra 25 to fix onsite.

Im just saying for your first gun that your dropping some nice money on that you worked for, make sure the guns right for you and your situation.

why has no one mentioned the etha yet? its in the same price range as the FX. not to mention you get PE's packaging, build quality, and support.

Here is what I have found. The Axe has the customer support that people almost need to have and it a great shooter. The FX has the features out of the box that people love. I have never shot any FX, but I have shot an Axe a lot and loved it.

Everyone that I have talked to that owns an FX said the shot quality is ok, but if you get the TechT LAW Ram and Hush Bolt it is fantastic. Almost everyone that I have talked to that owns an Axe loves just about everything about it.

My biggest gripe about the Axe is that if you service the regulator on your own, you void your warranty. It doesn't really matter what you do with the FX and you will have your warranty, although DP Customer Service is far from the best.

I personally own a Dangerous Power Threshold. It shoots fine and I like it, but I have found it doesn't seem to be the marker for me. At the end of the day it is all based on what you like more. Keep in mind, while looking around at the FX markers, they seem to be hit or miss. It seems to be more hits than misses though which it good.

The last thing I would like to mention is resale value. Since this is a mid-range marker, I can safely assume that eventually you plan on upgrading. DP markers have terrible resale value. Right now it seems like every other person on pbnation wants an Axe. I have seen some Ego 11's trade for Axes straight, not to say that will happen every time, it is a possibilty.

I'm surprised no one mentioned the Planet Eclipse Etek 4 LT. For me thats the toss up, I really want to go to one of those but don't know exactly what one I like. The ape board is pushing me more towards the FX but its still up in the air.

Personally, I would take Planet Eclipse over Dangerous Power any day, except maybe the Etha. The biggest downside on the LT is the composite parts. If you don't really mind composite then by all means go for it. I don't like it because you will find it can't really withstand the harder dives and slides that you sometimes need to get into.

The reason I love Planet Eclipse though is because they generally make VERY solid markers (I just don't like composite) that generally won't give you any major issues. (They just seem to have troubles with the first gen of a marker they are trying out. We all saw that with the Geo and Etha) Any Ego-based platform, like the Etek series, will not give you any problems. Again, the LT model is the only thing in the same price range and some people will only want to use metal, like me. In that case I would take an Axe over everything else.

PE customer support is amazing. Empire customer support is amazing. DP customer support can give you issues at times.

Change the lube in any dangerous power marker (bolt, noid, reg) and they're pretty damn good markers. G4 FTW

I think once I feel the LT I could get a better understanding on how durable the plastic actually is.

Eh, Im not a fan of the way the axe looks although I may change my mind once I can actually play with one (shot one before the start of a match but nothing more).

All I need to do now is actually go to my shop and see if they carry the DP and LT and see what feels good and shoots well.

my buddy has an Etek 3 LT and the biggest thing you have to worry about with the plastic is the feedneck and the frame. You shouldn't have to worry about breaking your eye covers. On the frame, the trigger guard can be pressed in and you can see it flex. If it does that too much, it will obviously snap. The feedneck would be my biggest concern. With all the weight of a hopper + paint, it may not be too fond of a dive. Even if you do get an LT model, you'll still love it because its Planet Eclipse.
