"Gen 2" just referred to some revised internals. Some easy indications: the hammer face on the A1 ram is completely flat; the hammer on the gen 2 ram has a notched edge with a raised center. The gen 2 bolt has a clear soft face; the gen 1 bolt has a blue soft face. The gen 1 parts were phased out starting in 2006, so I'd be absolutely astonished if you ran across a gun that still had them. Even the standard gen 2 parts are getting rarer - most people have moved to the Magno platform.

www.fixmyangel.com and www.pbsports.com still carry what parts are available. ANS gear still has some A1 stuff in their inventory as well, and stuff always pop up on eBay and the B/S/T section.

Yeah, I just picked up the gen2 magno valve w/ dlite stem from ANS a few days ago, and a booster2 bolt.

I need a new ram pack,
but I was wondering do I need the D-lite, and magno valve for the magno ram to operate correctly, or can I just get the ram pack?
and btw guys ANS has the A1 color kits on DEEP discount I just picked up a gold parts kit for 21$ shipped

No, you don't need the Magno or D-Lite valve to use the Magno or STR ram. You can use the rams with the pre-Magno internals no problem. The Magno/D-Lite valve is a good upgrade though.
