I found someone on CL who is willing to let their 24-205 go for $675. Decent price, yeah?

Man I really need to learn to post process. I know I know, watch the tutorial videos. Just never have an opportunity to sit down for that long uninterrupted with the baby.
I feel like I can technically take most photos but the difference in great photos is the PP which I really have no clue.

If you're serious about learning, and I mean beyond the online tutorials, you should get signed up for workshops. I know being in Alaska probably grossly limits your opportunities to work with industry professionals in that capacity, but if you're serious about escalating beyond the hobbyist level workshops are an amazing place to learn.
Also, join NAPP. It's probably the single best investment I've made in photography besides glass. The community is amazing and there is a tutorial on just about every single thing you could ever imagine doing in Photoshop. $99 for a year.
Just my opinion broham. You can download podcasts as well since you're a "Dad on the move".

Thanks bra. Ya I really want to learn. Just don't have time to sit uninterrupted for too long any more. Really wanna make my shots pop and not just look like flat photos.

Thanks man but I'm talking more about portraits and landscapes. Sports don't require much so I was alright. Now shooting more people I really need to learn more.

Yeah, shooting paintball and processing for it is pretty easy in the scope of things. 90% of your viewing audience is ignorant to any formal processing guidelines so the over-sharpened piles of **** we see frequently are welcomed with open arms by the consumers. (Definitely not making that statement about Skip, just a general statement for the state of paintball photography these days).
I can honestly say, personally, I'm never satisfied with my post processing. I always feel like there's one step or more that I need to learn or that I'm missing entirely. Then again, in this industry there should never be a point where you feel like you know everything top to bottom.
