Hi all, our coach bought our field the new valken proton to mess around with and the first thoughts where promising but iv noticed a few issues that I would like you guys to leave your opinion on...
first off the gun was light and felt good in the hands and was easy to move from dom to nondom hands, changing modes was easy and the tool-less bolt was really nice. It shot really strait and was very constant for an out of the box marker. The looks of the marker resemble a morkal arorua, but up close it doesnt look as goofy as the picture portays.
But there were some issues iv noticed as well. first off the trigger was really stiff (like a tippmenn crossover almost) witch made it very hard to walk. The push/pull on/off button was unique, it was located on the inside of the trigger frame and when you would attempt to walk the trigger sometimes you may press the button forward witch shuts it off. It would also be nice if there was more length between the asa and the body, it seemed like you really needed to have the tank at the top of your shoulder to look down the barrel. it also had a ting sound that was alittle bit worse than the etha... But the BIGGEST problem I noticed is a major issue, when ramping the marker ran away from me a couple times and would continue firing without pressing the trigger, the only way to correct this problem was to turn it off, this was not only a major gun malfunction but a safety issue im concerned about.
all in all its a great shooting marker, and I beleave it deserves the $300 price mark with its clamping feedneck, on/off asa, no macrolines, tooless bolt and a great board, well worth it in my opinion. Please feel free to leave comments about your experience and problems you may have encountered with this marker, we are a valken dealer and were thinking of getting abunch of these for rentals markers, so please let us know

thanks
