Just got a ticket for trying to take pictures in a fenced off construction site. Anyone ever been charged with this? What happened on your court decision?

I broke the the fence and walked in, then left minutes later. Apparently there was security there and the cops pulled me over on my bike. There's no question to wether I was trespassing or not, I'm just wondering the consequences.

5 months in Prison is pretty much mandatory for breaking and entering.

It's not a B&E charge, it's 1st degree trespassing, a Class B Misdemeanor. I'm just wondering the amount of the fine or how many community service hours to expect if anyone has been charged with this before.

No a ****ing apartment construction site, it burned down 3 months ago and the cops felt the need to explain that to me as if it mattered in this situation. Didn't even take any pictures, they didn't care that the fence was broken, which I only busted a couple metal ties around a chain link section, they just said you knew you weren't supposed to be there and you were.

They knew, had witnesses and the cop knew it was me from the description when he approached me, I could tell. He said he would have arrested me if I didn't have such a clean record, cooperating always helps too. And I'm just an honest guy, they caught me, while it is bull**** technically they're right that I was trespassing. Some dude in my building said they'll probably just say "bad" and no fine or anything for my first trespassing charge, I'm not expecting much just curious what other people had to do.
