02-04 mustang vs 06 civic si

Hey there ST:A

I'm looking at buying my first car over winter break and would like some input from you guys on the v6 mustangs from 02-04 and the 2006 civic si, it's going to be a DD/street class car so I'm looking for decent power with some potential for more as well as which is a more comfy ride, having to drive it to school after the break and home at the end of the semester (500+ miles each way) the mpg the civic gets is nice. Please don't flame this thread or turn it into an argument, just looking for input and personal experiences with both.

awesome, cause I have owned both lol. The Si is great, nice ride, Vtec is always fun, great all around experience. The mustang rides more firm, more aggressive power (obviously). for commuting get the SI hands down and throw some bolt ons and a tune for more power. you dont really need to worry about the SI with high milage. Mustangs can last forever as-well but cmon, its a honda lol.
Edit: honda is also FWD. mustang RWD. RWD is always more fun

More aggressive power? It's a V6 mustang and it makes less horsepower than the SI...

02-04 v6 mustang and power don't go in the same sentence.

Either get a v8 or don't bother with a mustang.

My vote is SI with 6-speed. I've not driven an 06, but I've driven an 08 frequently, nice ride, good gas mileage, reliable, and the clutch/throw is very smooth.

I can't think of any reason why I would want either of those cars but if I had to pick, the Honda wins hands down.

I see 02-04 gts in the 5-7k pretty regularly, I mean if you wanted the mustang.

I like the civic though.

I have an 07 Si. I enjoy the **** out of it. Great mileage, rides good. I don't beat on it really ever, though. Has 115,000 miles. Will run it until the doors fall off.

Get an eclipse it will blow the doors of the civic si once you chip it .

Your better off getting a V6 Dodge camero than the mustang .

I want one, but for some reason people think that their 06 with 120k on it is worth 10k
