One in the chamber like mw3 much??? And i would probably end up shooting my ball off the break running the gauntlet and barrel taging... Its even more fun we you do one ball on barrel were you have to shootthe ball through the barrel by blowing into it...

I remember back in mid 2000's there was a story where some team (I think XSV)
played a game where they only threw the paint at eachother. They played 5v5 and only had whatver they could hold in their hand or pick up.
I feel like that would take forever to end, or wouldn't end at all.

It didn't help having 3 players who never used a pump before.

On a side note, we are using Pump to get our APPA scores to drop down to D4 again.

I don't really know a lot about tournaments/appa because I haven't played in any, but if you were good enough to go move up, why would you want to move back down? Just to win more games?

To sandbag and feel like a boss

And yes, I felt the need to bring the pain today especially after I haven't done **** today and how badly I want to cut my eyes out with a dull spoon.

Sandbagging doesn't sound like fun to me. Your playing against people who are "worse" than you. I wouldn't feel as good getting a win against them.

People just like to sandbag and win more games to feel special when in reality it just makes them look like garbage, that is, in my personal opinion.

It's one thing if you're playing D4 winning everything and bump to D3, but if you're winning 25-50% of the time and want to bump down to win again then it's just sad. All that says is you're not putting in the time and effort to be that consistent winning D3 team.

thats why i like pump. its OPEN, no sandbagging, no whining. Show up and beat the best, if they beat you its cause they are better. IDC about sandbagging. it doesnt bother me. i would much rather beat a d3 team thats playing d5 causse they can. makes them look like ****

The reason is because D3 in Georgia is DEAD. The only way to get real competition is to play PSP. I do not want spend 4 vacation days to compete in PSP. It is not my idea of fun.

APPA uses a multiplier system to get your division. Your base score is figured out on the number of teams. 1st gets 100 points, last gets 10 points, everyone else in between uses a stepwise math to figure out the points. I did a google spreadsheet on it.

Once you have the points, your total amount is mutiplied by the division multiplier(D5=1X, D4=2X, D3=4X, etc), # team factor, age mutiplier, how long ago the points were earned and a few other things.

Top 4 scores are taken, top most score is dropped. That is how APPA does the math for your ranking. And once you go over the mid-season threshold you get bumped up. At the end of the season if u crossed the threshold you get bumped up.

If I start with 0 points and only plays pump division. Pump is a D4 event(2X) I would need to get 4 first places in order to be bumped up to D3 at the end of the season.

I am already at D3, so the only thing that will take away from those points are time and age. I think in 2 years I drop down to D4 again.

I honestly don't care about D4/D3 ranking. I just want to be able to play with my friends again and not in a division with 2-3 teams per event.

*EDIT* I was D4 all last season even though at one point we had 600 points. We were not promoted because you need 601 to be promoted to D3 midseason.

I had no intentions of knocking you now that you explained the story, I just assumed Mission Sandbag was ago. Makes sense though if it's dead in your state, and D2 is too far of a jump if you can't play at that level.

There is no D2/D1/Semi-pro/Pro division in GA. D3 aka Open is it.

That makes sense if there really isn't any D3 competition in your area.
I just got back from campus. I've been there since 9:30. Then I get to back again at 3

oh i know how the ranking system works, its set up so that if you win every event you enter(that has over 10 teams) in your current division, then you will move up since your obiviously better than everyone else. and usually thats doesnt happen unless your playing a division higher.

my point was playing pump isnot going to reduce your ranking, but you already know that, since you pointed ouut age and time are the only 2 reducers. Sso essentially your playing pump to KILL time until you can play d4 again.

when really youu could find a d4 team that is all d4 and you could play with them since your allowed 1 d3 player on a d4 roster/
