Clone VX eye problems

hey guys new to clones. used my vx for the first time last week and it worked fine for half the day then out of nowhere the gun stopped shooting psp and only shot like 3 bps. eyes off and the gun shoots 12.5. only the left eye lights up but i think i just read that one is the sender and one is a receiver.

is one of them just broken? when they're on the display reads [?] the eyes just stay on for 2 seconds or so then start to dimly flash. if i keep my finger in the breech and fire the noid goes at like 5 bps.

You're right one is transmitter and the other is receiver.
Have you cleaned where the eyes are?

The question mark means you have an eye fault and the gun will cap itself at 8bps by design.

As seriouslysilly mentioned, clean around the eyes and in the eye sockets. If that doesn't help then visually inspect the eye wires and make sure neither of them is pinched. Since you said you saw one of them light up, I'm guessing things are just dirty in there, causing the eye fault.

Both guys are correct most issues when your marker goes into default it's due to dirty eye sockets.

Unscrew the screw, place finger in breech and push detents out.

no luck with the eyes. took everything apart cleaned all of it and still nothing. checked the manual to make sure they're in the right plugs. sender is on the left side of the breech.

i'm guessing it's either the receiver or the board connection?

If he's a good friend he'll let you

Unfortunately that's the only way you'll know for sure if it's the board or the eyes. Eyes are obviously the cheaper option at $16 to try first if you can't borrow your friend's gun.
