shooting modes in speedball?
Been out of the sport for awhile, wanting to get back into it. Typically what shooting modes do people have their markets set at? I have my vice set at PSP 12.5, what's the norm? And what about local tournaments? Thanks!

PSP 12.5 and Semi capped at 15 bps are the two most common modes.

Ask what your local fields allow we can't tell you what your individual field lets you do in tournaments.
Playing against other teams usually psp 12.5, playing just walk on or rec on an airball course semi either capped or uncapped (or pump)

I think I would be safe to keep it at PSP 12.5 for tournament and rec. Thanks for the input guys

Agreed. Really, the firepower that we all "accept" for tournament play has no place in recreational play. Now, if your local rec play looks like a team practice, then whatever floats your boat. If you're in a mix with kids, parents, first timers, and renters, then dial it waaaaaaay back. Put a gravity hopper on, or try a pump, or limit yourself to 100 balls per game. There's nothing to be gained by "clubbing baby seals" in a rec game that's supposed to be fun.

I usually just use semi capped at 15bps during rec play, but most of the time I am single-shotting.

if you're playing with a group thats inexperienced, put your marker on semi and take it easy on the trigger. otherwise i practice with my team on 10.5 ramping and put it up to 12.5 ramping for tournaments

I use uncapped semi most of the time. I have two tourney profiles on my Redline (12.5 and 15), but they barely ever see any use.

I use millennium 10bps ramping 90% of the time. It's perfect for conserving paint, but it lets you one-ball on the rec players, which is what I do. I can carry a hopper on the field with rec players and play 3-4 games. Then I can turn around with my team and drop 10 pods without changing modes.

Or
Auto Response capped at 12.5

Savor the flavor...
When i played local tourneys, they were modified psp, but i never used psp mode. Only used semi, capped at whatever the psp cap was. Don't need no stinkin' ramping.
Nowadays, i've set all my electros to semi 12 flat, none of this .5 business.
