dow 55 smell like mint...? what?
so i just got some dow 55 on ebay for 5 bucks shipped, smells like mint uuhh should i put this in my gun? lol

My Tri-Flow smells like Petrol of sorts and my Dow55 smells like lithium grease.

Just came in to comment that I bought the same Dow55 on eBay (because why should you pay $15 for the same thing with a different label?) and it smells like mint.
Now my gun will smell of minty bananas!!! 
Far better than the strange petroleum smell of the GunSav I use on my other guns. |

My dow 55 smells like...nothing. Smells like my Dow 33 does. That tube is like several years old now and has lasted me through every Bob Long gun I've ever owned and several of my friends' and there's barely a dent in it. 5.3 oz of Dow 55 is a large amount.

my tri-flow smells nothing like fruit..
my dow55 has a distinct smell, but I can't seem to link it to anything.
