I think this is a great idea. There aren't enough low priced electric hoppers. This will be a great product for new or younger players that really don't need/can't afford a rotor or Z2, but need something better than a gravity feed. Assuming it works as it should. Good thinking Kee.

They end up being simiar relative prices:
$1000 gun : $ 200 loader (roughly 20%)
$300/$400 gun: $70 loader (roughly 20%)
you're spot on, but then they break the loader neck on the shell like a week into having it and need a replacement, and getting replacement parts from kee these days is hard enough. halo too is an amazing hopper for the price but the shell is wayyy too fragile. hopefully this will be like the usually viewloader neck and not break ever.

I would rather have an reshelled eye force compared to an reshelled eggy.

Yeah halo 2's aren't bad man, they are actually very good hoppers, I own 2 lol. Just like the Halo B's all the pros used back in the day except without a rip drive. I think why people really don't want them is bc halos are a ***** to take apart and clean and the feednecks always break. I keep them as a back up to my prophecy bc I'd rather have a $70 hopper as a back up than a $200 hopper.

There is just such a dead zone between the (current) $70 Halo too and the $170 Z2. (Except for the VMax junk at 130, which is currently on Fire sale for 80 bucks - I would take the halo too over a vmax if they were both 90 - Hell I would pay more for it over the vmax)
Personally, outside the ease of breakdown of the newer loaders they offer NOTHING over my Halos and Empire II loaders and even then with the speed caps these days they are all well faster than one could ever run so there's little justification (if any) on buying an expensive "higher-end" loader, though some folks just have to haver the latest toys.

Having said that 18bps, 200 round capacity and the nostalgia of rocking a JT product, this seems like a fantastic loader.

I'd add decreased weight as well. Installing a rip drive on my first 'real' loader (Halo) was a huge PITA as was cleaning it out if a ball broke inside it. I sold that to get a Z2 for the weight savings and smaller profile. I recently upgraded to the Spire to get the benefits of the Z2 while being able to clean it out in 60 seconds.

But at $60-70 this and the Halo Too are more than enough, quirks and all.

My VL eye-force quit out on me under warranty and after calling the Kee customer service they decided to just send me a new one, I ended up getting one of these instead and i can say this thing looks like an awesome hopper. I just got it today so i haven't had the opportunity to test it yet, it will actually be getting used by my wife (Spyder Fenix). This loader seems to be an improved remake of the VL eye-force. The pull out pins make it a lot easier to take batteries in and out and the appearance is nicer than the eye-force. Other than that the internals look almost identical. Awesome loader for $60.

The only reason to buy most 200+ dollar loaders is for the quick disassembly.
Can't tell you how many times having to take apart a halo shell at the field to clean broken paint inside it ruined my day.

Tbh, if they were still making pulses that would be my loader of choice. If the shells didn't fall apart that is.
