Dark Souls 2

This **** comes out tomorrow night. I don't often pre-order stuff but I definitely made sure I did for this game.

I can feel the rage-sweats building already.

I picked this up recently and it's my first 'Souls' game ever. I like it a lot more than I thought I would. It's a ton of fun to explore and fight new enemies.

I haven't been looking much stuff up because I want to experience everything first hand, but I've got to say, I'm happy as **** that I looked up info about covenants. I found my first primal bonfire and then decided to look up what the hell covenants were for because I found a couple awestones. Turns out I joined the Champions covenant at the Victor Stone and made the entire game even harder for myself. Good practice I guess

I'll be picking it up for the PC when it goes on sale for a reasonable price. I would have liked to experience it at launch, but not at full price, I don't want to support the ****ty lying devs that much.

The DS2 port is a lot better than DS1. No need for a user-made fix right out of the box just to run above 720p and 30fps.

Awesome game. Though I think it was the easiest of the souls games.

It's easy in the sense that you can summon people without a lot of difficulty, making most of the bosses a lot more manageable. I beat Dark Souls primarily by myself, so it was a tougher experience.

That being said, you get far less Human Effigies in this game than you did Humanity in Dark Souls, but it's countered by the fact that you can regain humanity by helping someone else complete things in their world. They really expanded upon the concept of co-op in this one and it's really nice, even if 90% of the people that play are either retarded or just plain suck. Some of these bosses are RIDICULOUS if you don't have at least one other person with you.

I'm on my 3rd character now. First was a Strength build with well rounded END/VGR/ADP and a little pyromancy, second was a Dark magic user with stats set to use the Stone Twinblade (Yes, I named him Dark Maul), and this third character is a DEX build with all whips and rapiers.

PVP is fantastic in this though. Lots of areas where people are just constantly invading or being invaded. It's just a shame that lag on XBL really kills it. I keep getting backstabbed when I roll out of attacks, or getting hit several feet away from the tip of someone's sword. Even worse yet is these ******s running around with dual greatswords. They're already an awkward length, and combined with ****ty latency it's impossible to truly judge the range of their attacks. I get ****ed over by them all the time, unless I'm using my Dark character and can trap them in a Scraps of Life or Great Resonant Soul.

My builds so far. I rarely lose in PVP with either of these unless it's to above mentioned gayness.

I honestly haven't had much trouble with the bosses on my own so far and I'm a relative dark souls newbie. Several of them I even beat on my first try, which never happened in DS1.

The hardest ones definitely seem to be The Pursuer, The Ruin Sentinels, The Lost Sinner, and The Smelter Demon.

Notable mention would be The Duke's Dear Freja, simply because those spiders in the beginning are ******s if you don't have anyone to take aggro of the boss. Some are made more difficult simply because the run to them exhausts your resources.

I got this game just a week ago and I'm playing it good on my spare time. I absolutely do not have any issues with the game yet.
