Finding the Right Cocker
So after a few years out of the sport I've decided to try it again.
I have a Geo but I'm getting nostalgic for the old days and really want some kind of E-Cocker just for fun.
I still have my REALLY old 01 mech cocker but when i was younger all i wanted was an E-Cocker and im trying to figure out what be the easiest to find.
i've seen a few superstocks and e-orracles which i love, the only other gun i've been considering is the 05 black magic but are these even possible to find?
also when it comes to performance is there a big difference between the
e-orracle and the superstock?
i used to know most of this stuff but it's been so long since i've played with a cocker that i'm a bit rusty.

I would definitely get something with an e2 eblade rather than the worrframe.

is it a reliability issue or is it just because there are more functions on the E2

Someone correct me if I am wrong:
WorrFRAME is the ****ty sf blinking-lights membrane-padded jumper-boarded horror which came on markers such as the 2k5 Superstock and Black Magic
WorrBLADE is an E1 frame with ordinary buttons and a Zero B board (this is what came on my Blackout)
Then of course there are the regular E1/E2 frames. You will notice a HUGE improvement in a frame that isn't SF because of the board options and screen. The parameters are all adjustable too whereas with the SF frames only the mode can be adjusted.

Select Fire frame and board is the blinky light frame and board
WORRframe/blade is the wgp version of the E1 frame. Takes E1 boards and triggers. There is also an E2 version with the correct screen for the E2 boatds. Still accepts E1 triggers.

okay so it's best to go with the E1 or E2.
now is there any real advantage to a half-block or mid blocked setup?
i've only used cockers with the standard block.

If you're going electro it would be best to get an E2, ZeroB, or Tadao boarded gun. The E1 is ok...but goes through batteries fairly quickly. The Tadao is also great...but IMO with a non-MQ2 cocker the E2 and ZeroB work just as well.
What is your budget? Depending on what you have to spend that may dictate some of what you should be looking at.

There really is no advantage to half and midblocking. You save so little weight it really doesnt give much noticable increase in ROF.

since no one has mentioned it, the e1, zero-b, e2, and yakuza boards will all fit in any of the worrblade/e1, e2, or ndz frames. so you could grab an e1 frame for cheap and put a nicer board in later if you wanted.
e1 boards eat batteries like its going out of style though. like 1-2 cases per 9v.
personally id try to find one of the later worrblades that came with the bigger window and e2 or zero-b boards or an e2 frame. although the bigger e2 boards are still perfectly readable in the smaller e1 windows. some people just really want that slightly bigger window.

Go with a Karnivor!!
Half blocking can be nice for speedball as you don't have a back block cracking you in the nose. However, I got used to my Karnivor pretty quickly.. just promise to never half block a Karnivor, that's a sin.

you should get an SR
1, its cheap usually around 200 or less
2, its a midblock so its smaller than a full body
3, it comes stock with a tadao board in it

Dont get an SR
1) its cheap for a reason, no real autococker enthusist wants them
2) its made by JT/BrassEagle so you know quality control is top notch (sarcasm)
3) it uses a proprietary Tadao board. When the screen goes bad you cant just toss in another Eblade style board. No one makes aftermarket SR boards either.
4) cannot update/upgrade the front end like on a real cocker with out machine work. Rumors of SR front blocks have floated arount for years.

^ I have heard about the screens going bad both stock SR and Tadao's OLED board have that plague. The valve is also smaller giving it a different sound signature. The SR is still a good buy for the money, not too shoot it down, I'm not sure if the screen malfunctions affects its performance. But if you throw a little more cash out there you should find a nice half blocked cocker if you are patient and look around.
Look up T3ch PB's review of the SR on you tube. there is also a helmet cam vid which allows you to hear its unique sound

Will has come out with a new screen for the older OLED boards with faulty ones. The USB boards have not had the screen issue, yet.. Mines alive and kicking for 3 years now.
Why buy a Chevette when you can have a Corvette?

SR's use the same 11/16" valve as the 05+ black magics, trilogies, and merlins.
if you can find a working one the SRs' are pretty cool, the stock frame looks wierd but it does fit the hand well, thats why it was made that way.

Yes, the grip on the SR is state-of-the-art 1894 (Colt Bisley).

Will didn't come out with a new.screen. Will doesn't make screens. The manufacturer discontinued that.screen and driver.
There is an aftermarket board that fits the SR.
There is no need to upgrade anything on the front end.
So much misinformation...
