tan/khaki colored pants

I've been seeing more and more people wearing tan/khaki colored pants for speedball. I like the idea since they're not black and wouldn't absorb all that heat.

My question is, what would they be using? I've found BDU pants, but i'm wondering if they'll hold up or if they'll even fit over knee pads. I'm also concerned i'd be trading the lighter color for heavier material. I'd be okay without the padding since I have need pads and some slider shorts if need be.

I also saw Valken has some lighter camo color ones, but the reviews are mixed. some good, but a lot of bad.

Dye makes tactical ones, but I think you might only be able to find used ones at the moment in medium size.

EDIT: maybe something like these -- http://www.ebay.com/itm/T-R-U-Tac-Re...em5ae01e 31d6

you can always check out pbracks tan pants http://store.pbrackclothing.com/pbra...ants-pre-order, but if your worried about heat i would stay away from the dye tact pants, they dont breath at all

If your wanting pants like those you linked, that are lite, roomy and will hold up, I would suggest 5.11 Taclite Pro pants. These are my daily uniform pants for work.

You would be giving up any sort of padding that paintball pants provide, but they are tough as nails while being comfy as heck.

If youre talking about the regular khaki pants, it's for the breathability that normal pants provide. And the agg factor. The women love agglets.

Those look like what i'm thinking about getting! I've got knee pads and slider shorts, so the paintball pants built in padding isn't a huge deal.
thanks for the link.

Some tactical pants also come with pockets to put knee pads or actually have knee pads already in them. I've thought about picking myself up a pair just for open play days. It seems that if you show up and put on paintball pants suddenly all the rentals think you are a "pro". That's why I've taken to wearing camo long sleeves and keeping my gearbag in the car so they don't see it and think I'm super amazing- thus not letting me play with them.

I've seen guys wear scrubs (just the pants, with their team jerseys). Hold up very well, and available in lots of colors. There's also chigos, which are currently reincarnated as Exalt Throwbacks, available in tan.

The Exalt Throwbacks are sweet. I've had a pair for some time and havent had any issues at all. I also keep a pair or two of the industrail double stitched dickies around. They're super cheap ($25 or so) and get the job done. Like stated previously neither of these options offer any padding, but they're light weight, breathe well, and are super durable.
