NFL has fined Lions Safety John Wendling $7,875 for a late hit on Alex Smith.
Alex smith was fined (later reascended) $15,000 for wearing a SF Giants hat that wasnt made by Nike in a post game presser.

The lulz are usually drowned out by the sobbing but yeah the Falcons blow in the playoffs. One of the best receiving corps with matty ice (which is the most undeserved nickname in all of sports) throwing them the ball and they can't even beat the giants. We all know the giants suck and only win because other teams hand them the game, so the Falcons must be really ****ing bad to not even score a point. |

Haven't the Falcons lost to the eventual Super Bowl champions in the last couple years? Doesn't mean they sucked in the playoffs, just that they were unfortunate in the draw.

The league needs to do away with these Thursday games every week. It's fine like the first week of the season, but I don't want it every week. Not to mention it's hard on teams to do such a quick turnaround from Sunday to Thursday. I think we're going to see a lot more of teams holding players out of the game like Nicks and Stewart last night just because they don't want to risk injury/re-injury.

Yes, but they didn't just lose, they got completely dominated. If they managed to at least have competitive games you would have a point...but they didn't.

It wasn't like "aw nuts that was close"... it was "holy **** they got DE-****ING-STROYED."
Green Bay went into Atlanta and brought back memories of Sherman's march through there in the Civil War, and then the Falcons went to New York and their offense scored exactly ZERO points.

It could be worse, they could have Cam Newton as their QB, which would pretty much guarantee they'll never do a damn thing. At least with Matt Ryan they can look pretty while losing.
