My brother had an injury very similar to Kevin Ware last year. He spent a couple days in the hospital but he's pretty close to normal now. He hasn't tried to play basketball again but he's back playing golf and working out.

My sister is almost finished with her doctor of physical therapy program and she was saying although that injury is disgusting and looks brutal it is really not as bad as you would think (usually). he would have been a lot worse off if he had a lattimore type injury and should be fine to play next year. a lot of it has to do with his rehab and how hard her works (like every other injury)
hell, i got a bunch of screws and **** in my leg and that leg is stronger than my left leg which was never hurt.

was pretty disappointed in both The Walking Dead season finale (shocker I know) but also the season premier of Game of Thrones.

the GoT season premier was fine IMO. there is soooo much **** that is going to happen this season they had to do a set up episode like that or nothing would make sense. the scenes with dany in Astapor were pretty spot on, IMO, especially the Unsullied scene.
next week some cool stuff should happen and there will be some new characters introduced by the looks of the preview. Dany's story might also get bad *** next week (hopefully).
Walking Dead finale would have been great for a late season episode but terrible for a finale. the story pretty much did not advance...pretty lame

i agree. if you havent read the books the show is really good. when i watched S2 i got all pissed off because it was so different from the books so i am going to try to suspend that knowledge when i watch.
S1 was pretty spot on, in contrast. they cut out some battles but it wasnt a big deal IMO.
again, i have no problem with this episode. the very beginning of book 3 nothing happened and it was the aftermath of the blackwater. a set up episode needed to happen or else this season would be a cluster**** of events that make no sense. next episode will probably sort of slow too, id imagine

What is really sad is if you think about it, without a doubt, before or during the tournament somebody had to tell Ware to "break a leg".

It was one thing for Prothro to snap his leg because he had socks and stuff to help conceal the injury. That poor Louisville player had nothing. And his bone came out of his leg. Very sad stuff, but it sounds like his surgery went well.

its sad but it could have been much worse. if i was an athlete i would much rather have that happen then tear all the **** in my knee.
that had to hurt like a mother ****er though. i'd assume he went into some sort of shock or something after that.

More like they hit him with the ketamine and laid him out while carrying him back. Seems like his prognosis is good and this is preferred to a blown out knee, like you said.
