Not for SOF. Its pretty much one of the only fields they will take prior enlisted though.

Wait ... what? Why would it be a deal breaker?

AF is pretty stingy on taking prior enlisted. Officer route is whole different ball game though. Go for it. We have three guys in the unit now who are prior Marine/Army.

Has anyone ever seen someone do 67 legit pushups in 60 seconds? I can max the 67 needed to get all 10 points in my official test, but I know they were not perfect. I am 6'2". There is no way for me to travel that whole distance 67 times in 60 seconds.

That number just seems ridiculous to me. How about you give me 2 minutes like the Army and let me knock out as many real pushups as I can and not have to focus on speed over form. They can't truly expect us to hit that max and not cheat the system..

Women get 75% equals 17% on men's scale iirc

Fastest Incan at 6'1 is 60 for legit ones

Agreed. I don't think anyone who get's a 100% does truly legit pushups.

Exactly. Which is why 67 is a crazy number.. But by the time you are 40 I think you only have to do like 41 pushups. I think they just needed some level of progression from each age group.

if you have a degree already try and get accepted into OTS... otherwise you could probably do a condensed two or three year ROTC program. from there you have to go through selection for CRO which I'm sure is a long training program. Either way it would likely be a couple years before you can deploy due to the training pipeline and application process. I don't know if you can get a job as a CRO through OTS either... I don't though.

So North Korea is vowing to end the Korean War armistice on March 11th. Hooray looks like we can all expect to be in Korea soon

not quite. the typical cycle of DPRK actions every few years is:

1. missile launch
2. nuclear test
3. act of aggression

we'll see how far they take breaking the cease fire though...

the problem is with our lack of a budget and the CRA expiring at the end of March if they go full retard I don't know how we'd be able to afford a war. not that our lack of being able to afford a war stopped us before.

Please. How do you think we got trillions into debt in the first place. We print some money and push the button.
