I just use an Alum Block post shave then use some generic scent free face lotion my wife has. I have never really used aftershave.

I've checked and they didn't have any DE gear. The BX hear is miniscule.

nivea is fine for after shave balm that you can find anywhere! Also, target is carrying a lot of shaving stuff (brush, bowl, creams, lotions) and bath/body works has C.O. bigelow line of mens shaving stuffs.

If there is a Target around I'll try to hit it up. If not, I'm pretty positive I won't be finding much around here. Mainly I'm looking for some cream and maybe a mug/bowl. If nothing else I'll just buy the $10 Van Der Hagen soap set and a Shaving Factory razor. About $25 total.

Good to start out with? I'm assuming for that soap you just get the brush wet and swirl it on the puck until you get a lather?

I just got an Alum Block and holy crap it feels nice after a shave. Was a bit nervous at first but what I thought was going to be a burn turned out to be a very refreshing tingle.

Right on. I can definitely tell that dropping it would not end well.

Anyone have experience with Bluebeard's Revenge shaving cream? It claims to have a product in it that slows beard growth. This would be good for me as my facial hair grows quick. Even when shaving with my DE razor my supervisor is asking me if I shaved by around 1500. I'm hoping this will be corrected when I get my slant, but this may be the next step if I still have problems.

I hate when people say that **** to me. Are you kidding me? It's 3 p.m. I have been up for about 10 hours at that point. Mother****er, my face isn'y gonna be 100% hair free.

If that is a serious concern of yours then you need to reevaluate your priorities as a leader..

Question for everybody, if you get asked to deploy to a certain location and you personally feel that particular location is a bit unsavory are you failing to do your part as a member of the united states military if you decline the offer?

along that same line, they're trying to get me on a deployment to Afghanistan and I haven't told anybody in my family yet because I'm waiting to get the official yes or no. Good idea or bad idea? I don't want them to needlessly worry if it gets axed.

I wouldn't say anything, but I have told my family time and time again to not be surprised if I do get picked up for a deployment.

If you go, don't half *** it, so if you have any doubt you will then don't go. It's not about "failing your part". It's about giving your all for 6-7 months at
110%.

In my career field I wish they would ask everyone who does and doesn't want to go because lives depend on us. So sending someone down range who DOES NOT want to go(which happens quite often) is bad mojo and doesn't help the rest of us perform our mission.

It is hard to say you won't deploy to a certain area if you are tasked to. Now if a deployment comes down the pipe and they are asking if you are interested, you are more than welcome to pass.

I purposely volunteered for Afghanistan when I heard of deployments to Iraq were coming down because I personally did not want to go to Iraq.

As far as telling your family, my family was military so they know that things change instantly. I tell them anytime there is a possibility I am going anywhere.. and they know full well, that it might not even happen. You should be fine holding off until its official. They can't blame you for wanting to do that.

In other news. I picked up these classy oxfords for $3.99 at a thrift store. Polished them up and they looks great. They retail new for about $200.
