I know where you're coming from... it sounds more like you overreacted from what somebody else on the internet said. From what you said you sound like you're well on the way to kicking *** at training and props for that. I know it sucks that your dream is on hold for the time but just let if be your motivation because having a black mark on your record is hard enough let alone not getting back up after getting knocked down. I'll have to wait and see what falls out after my latest performance report is finalized but I still feel like I'm not trusted and I know for a fact that I'm not the favored son among the LTs in my unit. I could have stepped up, delivered a briefing and kicked *** over the guy who actually gave it but I let him do it instead. You make your own future and don't let what somebody else said bother you let alone what something on some ****ing piece of paper says about you.

You knew what was at stake when you signed the contact.. if you weren't ready for this then maybe you should just self ID and get out now. It is really easy while you are in tech school.
I have to agree with this. How many people do you think washed out of other jobs that require more hard work than what you were doing? How many of those same people put their head down and worked harder than ever before to get where they needed to be in order to make it? All this blah blah blah is just an excuse and you're looking for an easy way out since you didn't make the cut thefirst time. It's this point in your life where you decide you want to succeed or just ride the gravy train. Nothing worth doing in this world is easy. And those that quit because they failed one time won't get any further either.

Suck it up buttercup. Use the time you have to get bigger, faster and smarter. Then say **** SERE and go CCT.

I did that today.. wasn't too bad. But my shirt doesn't extend past my ******* so I didn't have to undo my shirt stays. Still is more work than it needs to be though.

That doesn't take any effort, therefor it doesn't suck.

So it looks like I am going to be taking over as the PTL for my shop again. Trying to think of some stuff to do that is kind of fun, different and more beneficial than just the standard do some pushups, situps and run for a bit nonsense..

Thinking about doing some sort of PT with sand bags. They are cheap, portable and offer a variable weight. You can use them for squats, presses, lifts, farmer walks, and short runs. But I am just trying to find some other stuff to make it interesting. If I am going to be forced to workout in a group setting once a week, It is going to be a good workout... and not just a "Go run 3 miles." lazy workout.

Logs, tires and sandbags. Then you add competition.

I want tires, but because of the location I would not be able to just leave the equipment. I would need to transport the stuff across the street into the field across from my building where we meet.

I was thinking logs for some good ole log PT.. but I just KNOW someone would pull the "It's not safe" BS flag.. But I will test the waters with that for sure.

The kicker is this. more than half of the people in my office are women. Women who will complain if we do anything "hard". ****, we can't even have a morale sports PT day because they just ****ing complain about it...

And about 60% of people are currently on some sort of physically limiting profile...

I was a PTL a few years ago. Went to Afghanistan and lost the title. But now I have to do it again. I hated doing it for the whole squadron.. the office isn;t too bad though... But It isn't going to be the crap they do in huge groups...

deck of cards is pretty fun. pick an exercise for each suit for the workout, draw five cards, add it up and do the numbers, run 100-200 metersish, draw more cards and repeat until you finish the deck. If you really want to be an ******* keep the jokers in the deck and have them represent ten burpees.

we do another workout here that starts with an exercise, 400 meter run, different exercise, 200 meter sprint, different exercise, 200 meter recovery jog, different exercise, 400 meter run, and then repeat that so you do about two miles overall.

similarly you can do a 400 meter run, 20 pushups, 200 meter run, 20 situps, 100 meter sprint, 20 pushups, walk 100 meters, 20 situps, and then start back at the top. to be a real dick you could start with an 800 instead of a 400.

last man up sprints is a good workout too. set up 6 stations with a workout at each station, do the workout, sprint to the next station, do the next workout, do a last man up sprint workout for about 400-600 meters to the next station, and repeat until you run out of stations. where we work out on some days is a closed off stretch of road so it's like a giant 8. we use from 9th-7th streets on B and C St:

I havent worn blues in....3 years....? I wore them to a HS graduation like 3 years ago. Only other time I had to wear them was at sheppard when they did this "wear blues on mondays" thing. That only lasted a week till we got in senior hangar where it was all working on the planes. Didnt even wear them for graduation because we had a snow day on our graduation day. They just sat us down in a room, handed us our badges, and certs and said have a nice day.
