It's actually being phased out, but our government basically tracks every legal gun in the country by serial # and who owns what.

I thought Whataburger was a fictional chain created for King of the Hill. I realize I'm gonna get laughed at for that but there are Canadian chains you guys have never heard of.

Nope, Whataburger is one of, if not the, most delicious fast food chains in the south.

It has been better, but I agree. If you're in Texas, you gotta eat at a Whataburger.
I just got a 100 on my Calculus quiz!

$5 paypalled to anyone willing to do these 4 problems correctly.
1. Albertson's grocery wants to estimate the average amount ($) purchased per person. They know this is likely to vary by day of week, so they first look at Mondays. From their computer records they found that for all transactions on the previous Monday: the sample average was $21.55 with a standard deviation of $8.20 based on 2,860 transactions. Find a 99% confidence interval for the average transaction amount on Mondays.
a. $21.25 to 21.85
b. $21.16 to 21.94
c. $21.07 to 22.03
d. $21.00 to 22.10
e $20.90 to 22.20
2. Every morning you run one mile as exercise and record the elapsed time. Over the last seven days, you have averaged 6 minutes with a standard deviation s=0.40 minutes. Find a 95% C.I. for your "real average" time per mile.
a. 6 +- 0.24
b. 6 +- 0.30
c. 6 +- 0.37
d. 6 +- 0.40
e. 6 +- 0.44
3. We want to estimate the average monthly income of college students from part-time work. From past surveys, we know the standard deviation is about $300 per month. We want the accuracy of our 95% C.I. to be +- $40 per month. What sample size is appropriate?
a. 39
b. 78
c. 139
d. 217
e. 246
4. The Gallup Poll wants to determine how many people to survey. They have been hired by the National Horseradish Council, an industry trade group, to find out what % of the public has ever eaten horseradish. From previous surveys they know the % is roughly 20%. The Gallup Poll will present their results as a 95% confidence interval. They want an error term of no more than +- 2%. Find the appropriate sample size.
a. 1537
b. 1355
c. 1068
d. 987
e. 897

I never go to this class, but I have to make C or better on all these class assignments in order to get a C or higher in the class, even though they're only worth 2% of my grade. Really annoying.
EDIT: It's technically an Info class, but it's pretty much just stats again. Unfortunately its a core class I have to take to graduate.

It's stats for engineers. It's a 3000 level class meanings it's for juniors. I also am taking Materials and Statics.
