Schools banning peanuts
Wow, I've never heard of banning students from bringing peanut products to school.
http://shine.yahoo.com/parenting/pb-...215000284.html
tl;dr: schools are banning students from bringing peanut products in lunch because of some students with peanut allergies.
My question is, instead of making a rule banning peanuts, why not just make a rule banning the sharing of food? That way children with peanut allergies won't be able to eat peanut foods from other people, and as an added bonus there will likely be less spread of illness.

The problem with your proposal is that some children(and adults) have extreme hyper sensitivity to peanuts(and their close relatives) that even trace amounts in the air can trigger a reaction.
However, I doubt parents are sending kids in with peanuts still in the shell, which would be the worst for anyone with a sensitivity to them. More times than not its peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, which in such a form wouldn't pose much of a threat unless direct contact was made(or in this case ingested)

Or just let the stupid kids eat peanuts and die, natural selection will take it from there.

I can understand where they are coming from. I have food allergies and the smell of the food makes me sick. I don't even have to come in contact with it. I just tell people to put that **** away or I will projectile vomit over everything that they love.

If you're that overly sensitive to peanuts, you shouldn't be putting yourself in situations where they're around. You can't go to the mall, you can't go to the circus, and you shouldn't be in a ****ing lunch room.
If you're not that bad, just don't sit next to people eating it.
I went to a school once where they banned peanuts. I still ate a damn sandwich. When they raised hell to my parents, my dad went all ape **** and I got to keep eating them. It was in Kindergarten, so I can't remember what all went down. It's bull****. People today need to learn responsibility. Teaching kids that you can push others over to get whatever the **** you want and live a safer life is NOT a good lesson.

Then they'd better ban dust, apples, oranges, and every anything else in the world that people might be allergic to.
I'm highly allergic to dust. Well, dust mites. I know if I stir up dust, I have to ge away from there or I'll start having a near asthma attack. I know this, and I know how to take care of it. Parents should teach their kids this kind of ****, to stay away from those kids eating peanut butter, and not, "Oh, it's okay hon, we'll just take it away from all of them and you'll be safe."

obviously parents should teach their kids to not be morons, but public schools will ban whatever they want to protect kids and more importantly, protect their own *****. End of story.

Omgz, a near asthma attack? How do you manage to deal with such minor discomfort?
A kid in my sister's school went into anaphylactic shock and almost died because a mother brought brownies with peanuts in them to share with a class, despite the fact that the school has a ban on peanuts. The kid was like 9 at the time, definitely not at an age where he'd be expected pick through every piece of food given to him to make 100% sure it doesn't contain peanuts, regardless of how well his parents may have taught him. The woman didn't think it would be a problem, but yeah. Also keep in mind the fact that allergies can develop/worsen over time, and plenty of kids have peanut allergies and don't even know it until they have a serious reaction.

Then the ***** shouldn't have ate them.
I know what I can and can't be around. She should too.
If it is not upon public schools to make it as safe as possible for kids, then I will be sure to go up to the high school and raise hell because my brother is allergic to strawberries and they serve strawberries there.

Yeah then let's ban all sports because when I was in high school one of my friends got overheated and passed out on the field. The shirts dangerous we need to ban all physical or mental strain so these kids are safe

You're 15, the only way you could be out of high school is if the teachers realized you're a lost cause and gave up.
I'm getting tired of calling you stupid.

Designate a corner or table for the kids with peanut allergies to sit at. Ban peanuts from said table or corner.
Problem solved.
