I have both Verizon and AT&T data plans. Some locations the food isn't as good... as other locations. My AT&T data service at my house is better than my Verizon data service. I get LTE with AT&T at home... but only can get 3G EVDO with my Verizon LTE mifi. 3G EVDO isn't anything to be proud of. In fact, I'm in at an event right now where all I have unusable Verizon crappy 3G EVDO, so I'm posting right now on my AT&T LTE data. I don't need LTE or 3G/4G data at home since I have wifi@home. Just saying selecting a data service provider should depend on what carrier gives you the best service in your location. I've been with verizon for since it was AirTouch (10 years+), and AT&T for 7 years... and been happy with both. I don't buy into the Verizon has more coverage... because I have had poor coverage with Verizon when AT&T had awesome coverage... and I could say the same thing the other way around. For me... one is not better than the other. However, location should be a factor in choosing a carrier's data plan. For some... Sprint is the best choice for their location.
