Ordered a black 16gb about 10 minutes after preorders opened up. I tried like twice to get it off apples site before heading over to Verizon's site and just did it through there. No idea when I'm supposed to get the phone though, where are you guys seeing when it's supposed to come?

9/21 for me through Verizon and I ordered at like 8 AM Friday morning. Likely the same for you. Follow this thread (and try to ignore the stupidity).

I bought my 64GB black model from Sprint, and allegedly it's going to be here on Friday. What's the procedure after that? Do I have to take it to a Sprint store to get it activated, or will the service automatically be transferred from my existing phone to the new one?

just turn the phone on and it will automatically activate. then you plug it in to itunes to sync everything
