Google will be releasing a standalone app. You can always access it through your browser in the mean time.

I must be the only person that actually likes the new maps app. Maybe its because I never used it much, or maybe it's because I'm in a smaller city.. But I think the standard view is easier to read and view on a mobile device.
And people have complained that its data is inaccurate.. I tested it with a location that I knew google had pinpointed 3 blocks down the road from the actual location.. Apple dropped the pin right on top of the correct location. Granted, that is just one instance.
Flyover, meh, thats just a fun feature that I'll only use to look at random cities that actually use that feature.
I also find the turn by turn really easy to follow when driving. The street signs are really nice and easy to read compared to other apps that I have tested.

Totally just realized you can move all of your app icons to a second homescreen if you want the first one completely blank. I thought you had to jailbreak for that..
I'm less butt hurt now about having no jailbreak.

Unless they changed it with 6, on a phone restart that blank page will vanish. I just have 4 folders along the top, and anything else on extra pages.
keeps it pretty uncluttered

All 3 of our iPhone 5's are in California less than a 2 hour drive away. Soon I'll be able to add an 5th row of icon's... LOL... wait... I could already add a 5th row of icon's on my iPhone 4.  |
