polos are knit rather than woven

they grip the bar better

i had to stop my 385 widowmaker at 16 because of shirt related slippage (usually I squat first to avoid sweat related slipping, but my gym has banned chalk and I was forced by my week to do all my arm **** first so I was sweatin)

tl;dr there's a reason for polos

I just find it funny that it's only the weakest and least intelligent posters who are hatin' on the polo.

I low bar squat under my traps and lock it in with a suicide grip

Never had a problem before, but again I usually open with squats since changing to that style. (Vibrams + widestance + comp depth + low bar)

I squat the same way, never had an issue. I however am not quite on the level of mountain weight.

Why is that? It's the only way I've ever squatted, I don't really know the difference to be honest.

EDIT: did some reading like a non-slug, I suppose this explains my quad development relative to my numbers.

I now low bar my preactivation sets and high bar my work sets. Seems to give me a nice balance. Coupled with front squats as my B exercise, I think it's helping to target my back and quads, which are relatively weak points, assisting both my squat and deadlift numbers.

I dread the day that I become "quad dominant" and need to figure out a different setup because this one works so nice. Hopefully it won't happen until I am well over a 2.5x BW squat.

Low bar is more comfortable to me. I detest high bar squatting. I have been narrowing my stance, however, and doing more front squatting as of late for more quad work. Every now and then I'll throw in a high bar set, usually on my 6x2 days, but it's a rare occasion.

Doing 5x5 with my buddies for the next month.

Curious to see what I deadlift tonight. 315 cold was effortless on Friday, shooting for 455x2 tonight.
