Though i would share this with all of you.
Made it today, It is for my Merlin half block pump project. It weighs 84 grams as is with out being tapped for the lug and i still need to cut the slot a little longer. Also need to polish it up more
Threading won't be that bad. A nice sharp tap works fairly well. An it is a tungsten alloy. Cost is about $25 a Inch. Problem is that there is no commercially avaliable 11/16". it would have to be a specialty made. I am gonna work on seeing if I can get the od cylindrical ground to size for a better finish.
Got it taped today, 1/16" turn at a time with lots of oil. Milled slot to correct length and polished it up. Weighed In at 76-77 grams. Now time to make a lug. And find a valve so I can see what springs I need.
lug is too far back, gonna make a higher spring tension, and tuning funky, i have one like that from my hybrid, sucks for tuning light spring tensions and low pressure, but looks like you get enough meat to redrill
