Love!
I am the original poster and am a newer but avid paintballer! my name is AJ Schneidewend. The main man behind this is my best friend Chris Hardy. Chrishardy28@gmail.com. We fully believe in paintballing as a sport and also as a recreational hobby. This is also something that can be used as an opportunity for others to have fun and create something that will allow them to enjoy something that is not available everywhere!... especially the area where we reside. Chris has been paintballing for quite awhile but has only been on pbnation for four days!!!!!!! He is one of my best friends and has many followers as well as all the best support. This idea is concerning the entire Midwest as well as anyone who has the capability to travel and join his amazing creation. This is not only for 3 and 5 man psp. The reason psp and 5 man were mentioned was to give an example of size and quality of playing field mentioned. He will also be able to provide for the recreational community as well as the regulation air ball community. Every player known as well as up coming players looking to learn the sport from the true veterans who are supporting the field are 100% willinging to support any player and answer all questions. REGUARDLESS!!!! Surprises will be announced!!!!! There will be options for every type of player as well as play!!! Chris’s dream is to support the veterans of paintball but more importantly influence the youth of paintball through the veterans.
Sorry for the confusion. We really appreciate your time and all comments are welcome and greatly appreciated!!!
AJ Schneidewend

Good luck. If you build a regulation size psp field indoors I am sure you will get a lot of support from ballers all over the Midwest.

I'll admit I'm quite confused by this thread entirely.
If you tell us something or anything or anything with some sort of validity it might make this more believable. I know you'll get an enormous amount of support from the paintball community, you won't hear anyone here try to do anything but help. Because we all want an indoor field like this, but it has no name, location or any specs? Just don't tease us or lead us on. /End Rant

turnout might be good during the winter, but during the summer months there are plenty of good outdoor fields within an hour or so of the fox valley. Boneyard seems to already have a good chunk of the states airball community, and brew city is only an hour and a half away.

I like the idea but keep in mind your going to need deeeeeeep pockets, easy 300k just to start it up and do it right. And remember that's just to start that's not daily opp cost and overhead, insurance, and other expense.

300k? you'll be lucky to find just a building big enough for an indoor field for that. not to mention all the netting, bunkers, lights, compressor (which are ridiculously expensive) etc.

Turf isn't as expensive as you think. I think you get all of the above for much less than 300k. The building. Depending on what part of Appleton or fox valley they are looking at they may be able to find a pretty decent deal

ok ok. well at least we can agree that it is not cheap in any way lol.
and turf is pretty expensive...even a cheap turf that i looked at for $1.25 a square foot at 150' by 125' (which is the size of just a psp field, JUST the playing field, not including some buffer space) is 18,750 square feet, which is $23,437.50 for just the turf.
23 grand to me isnt cheap for just turf. my .02 cents

That's true. But you figure 23k for the turf even if the bunkers cost 5k your only at 30k not 300k. Lol and the netting and compressor are no where near the remaining 270k. Maybe another 25k depending on # of fill stations needed ect.

also true...but like mentioned above, you still need a building. and if this is going to try to be a legitimate business then you'll need more than just an xball field, (because we all know it wont last if its just a tournament field) rentals, somewhat of a store, etc.
and like someone else said insurance is huge. with paintball...you're paying up the *** for it. same thing with electric bill. ridiculous.
im not trying to be a dick, im just saying theres a lot more that goes into opening an indoor field than most people think.

No need to flame him Gackattack he was just giving advice. He said hes not trying to be a dick so no need to call him out. Buildings are expensive. If your friend chris knows whats hes doing that's fine, this guy was just trying to be helpful. + it would be nice to hear from Chris on here because it seems as if alot of us ballers are interested and would like conformation if this is a for sure thing or not... I personally really hope it is, we could use more fields in WI.
