Keep it stock unless you are having problems chopping...and even then you need to look a the paint you are shooting. I don't ever see any reason to change the bolt unless you are having problems.

Depending on what edition of Etek you have, get a zick 2 or hush bolt kit if it did not already come with one. That will reduce any kick or noise. As for the regulator, I personally do not recommend changing it from the stock version, because there is no guarantee that it will be healthy for your solenoid.

oh wow i thought the regulator from CP would be way better for the solenoid. but on the other hand i have a 2006 model and it has the regular cure bolt and i dont know about the ram because i cant tell the difference but i really want to upgrade the gun since its an eclipse and they are basically the most reliable guns in the industry so i basically just am looking for everyones imput on the gun and what they recommend and what parts are better than the others so what ever else you have for me let me know about it haha

Don't change the reg...an 06 PE reg is far superior to any cp reg out there.

well thing is about my reg it doesnt wanna stay fitted on
it is constantly loosening up and the macro line kinda pushes the fitting to the side loosening it even more and i already cut the line to size so i dont know why it keeps moving out of place

Put a lap of teflon tape around the threads. That might help.

Air pressure usually keeps this pieces still. You can always tighten the fitting just a little to keep the swivel from moving.

Haha no no. Eyes are the sensor system to detect a ball and determine whether the gun should fire to prevent chopping.

Detents are the little rubber pieces near the eyes that keep balls from double feeding which cause paint breakage. The kills ones are nice upgrades as they're magnetic and will last a long time, but save your money unless you're having double feed problems.

Take a look at my signature to get an idea of what all can be done to the Etek (If you got the money to splurge). Kila detents are amazing in my opinion. Another great upgrade to look into is a Star frame. They are almost impossible to get but they do pop up every so often in the BSTs. The Star frames really unleashes all of the Eteks potential.

What's good about the star frame ? I thought it just made the whole gun a little lighter ?

Ohh there is more to the Star frame than that. It basically turns the lower half of your Etek into a 08 Ego. It comes with almost the same board with LCD screen as the 08 Ego (MUCH easier to program!), same T-slot rail system as the 07 and newer Egos, the same trigger with magnetic return as the 08 Ego, and a QEV for faster cycling. Having the Star frame makes it a night and day difference than the stock frame.

They usually surface in the BSTs in the Miscellaneous section. Usually either brand new or a part out from broken Eteks. Sometimes they pop up on Ebay also. They usually run anywhere from $100 to $200 depending on condition and what they come with (box, manual, QEV, frame, trigger, board, grips and screws, etc...). I know that sounds a little high for a frame, but they are now very rare and hard to find. Most people won't sell or part them because of the rarity/scarcity of them. But every so often people do. My best advice is to search the BSTs everyday (keyword: Star frame) and make an autosearch on Ebay. Don't forget that the 05/06 Ego also had a Star frame made for it. Don't be confused between the two, because the Star frame for the Ego isn't "compatible" (Can be modified but requires milling to fit) with the Etek/Etek 2. Make sure it is an Etek Star frame before purchase. I put pictures below illustrating the difference.

Etek Star frame

I live in McDermott, OH but play out of Cincinnati. I don't think I will be going anywhere near Illinois any time soon. I have a couple Cure 3+ bolts if you interested in one.
