You may have seen the thread where I had to replace some servo gears to repair the slow feed rate issue. This is another fix I thought would be worth mentioning.
The loop type clips that hold the front of the hopper together isn't an inherently strong design. Its a thin plastic casting and has to endure a good deal of pressure. It has proven to be weak has failed when dropped, hit or even sometimes just snapping it apart. The problem with loop type clips is that they have two small areas, the side posts, that have to hold a long, thin top post. Pressure type clips are a little more robust, and spring steel pressure clips are nearly indestructible.
This was fairly simple to complete with just a torch and a few clamps. It holds better than the plastic clip, is tighter and should never fail.
