I am a huge fan of the Clone line... I really wouldn't consider myself a fanboy because I still love DMs and older spools such as the quest and NXT. I can say of all of them I firmly believe the Clone is superior. It is smooth, quiet and efficient. You don't find that often.

I've only shot a clone once... it was nice, and can def hold its own against a DM. Thats all i can comment on as i've never owned one and dealt with maintenance. As for DM's, i've owned 3, and still own my DM5 and DM10. DMs are time proven and have quite a history. People can comment all they want on keeping up on greasing them every 2 cases of paint, but for one, i've gone longer than that.. And two, maintaining them is a breeze and can be done in under 5 minutes.
We could go back and forth on what one each of us think is better, but you're best bet is to just try to get your hands on both to shoot. If you're thinking of making that big of a purchase, any shop should be able to let you shoot one to make the sale.

the clone is the best bang for the buck pick up a used vx and don't look back... avoid geos like the plague... unless you are a pe fan boy.. the luxe is just a talking over priced shocker with some refinements.. macdev makes great marker i have shot and owned all of the guns i am mentioning except the luxe but 2 team mates have them and they reach to their clones over the luxe..

The shocker does share the same bolt design but that's where it stops. Macro less, amazing bolt removal system, talking board, flawless milling and finish, 2nd to none ergos, freak barrel, laser eyes and INCREDIBLE customer service. This is no shocker.

I would disagree strongly on the 2nd to none ergos. I find the Luxe to be the worst ergonomics of any marker I've ever used.

I guess if you're clinically a midget that could be the case. The GT's dont even have rounded edges on their grip frames. About 90% of the paintball community agrees and raves about luxe ergos.

90% of the paintball community probably haven't even seen a Luxe. I am 6' and absolutely hate the way the Luxe feels and the angle of the barrel messes with me.

I would add a Geo+ to that list except you say price doesn't matter.
So, Geo3 for sure.

Might be a nice transition since the geos are some of the roughest shooting spools i have shot. If the OP is wanting the full spool experience he should look to a more smooth shooter.

No Budget- 1)Clone GT 2)dm12 3)Luxe 4) geo 3 by default but would rather get a drone dx and save the cash.
Budget- 1) Clone vx'd 2) clone v2 3) clone vx 4) drone dx 5)geos 6)older dm's

This. Throw those Clones to the top of your list. Followed by a Demon, then DM. Luxe is too much of an air hog.
