Why fight when you can elect Ron Paul and reel in all this needless spending?

I'm anti religion and I prefer Republicans. He supports stopping illegal invaders in his country, while the far left would rather feed them and the world at the expense of people who succeed at the American Dream. Sounds fair, eh?

I think its a bit of a stretch to say they are fed by those who succeed. Regardless have you watched anything from the ironically named values voters summit 2012? These people are extremist, xenophobic LIARS who say anything and anything to convince viewers that god votes republican. These people talk about Obamas attacks on religious freedom while maintaining Jews should be converted and Islam is evil. And Paul Ryan comes to show everyone he's one of them.

You wanna vote for people who think abortions should be performed in public, be my guest. It is not even about conservative vs liberal ideology anymore. These people are not fit to be near public office and America needs to send the message that republicans should have NOTHING to do with these horrifying people.

No, people forget. They need to be reminded from time to time. And everyone in the world doesn't know about Japan. Bet half of the middle east doesn't.

Except, he's right. Buddhism is less of a religion than any. It lacks worship and instead focuses on self reflection.

Stop trolling.

It fits the definition of organized religion, stop making excuses for intolerance.
Using the concept of 'introspection' can applied to any other religion. Including but not limited to the Hindu faith.

Thats the thing, Budistism doesn't fit the definition of a organized "religon" they don't believe in any kind of god, they have some texts but no "holy book"

Its not like..Oh..Islam where they have a strict book with strict rules that demand they murder anyone not like them.

So you don't have a problem with religion; you have one with books. Makes sense...

It's good that you can find a distinction that fits your personal paradigm. The rest of the world will continue to recognize Buddhism as an organized religion with it's own spiritual scriptures, canon, branches of philosophical thought and concepts of the afterlife. As an example, the Mahayana 'worship' or invoke guidance from the bodhisattva.

The first of the five precepts is that a buddhist must abstain from taking of life. There are many Buddhist holy books and texts on how to live an 'enlightened life'.

You should investigate the pali texts of Buddhism. You might gain some clarity. Original Buddhism is a lot like Platonic monism. There is the same God in Buddhism as you'll find in Hinduism and monism. Obviously what is called God is completely different than the man in the clouds stuff. Julius Evola also has some interesting insights on Buddhism as well.

Bottom line, if your source for Buddhism is either Theravada or Mahayana, it's a safe bet you are on the wring path to understanding the religion as it was meant to be.
