Yet another G3 problem..

Had a tournament last Sunday (9/9/12), my buddy got my G3 from me.. Threw in a new noid, fresh o-rings... Worked great for most of the day.. Then it started to eat up the middle o-ring on the bolt. The marker was well lubed with dye slick. He ended up using a different marker the last couple games. However when we replaced the o-ring and re-lubed, it started to slide off after shooting a few times. Any suggestions?

that O-ring! damn you! We had the same problem. We bought a TechT Bolt ENGINE and never had that problem again.

Then again, we weren't using the stock bolt anymore. BUT before buying the new engine, we replaced the o-ring several times. Turns out rings and lube need time gel.

I'm assuming you cleaned out the breech as well? Make sure you're using the right oring size and durometer (90 duro iirc). You can also try a different lube, although dye slick should be fine and I wouldn't expect it to be the culprit.

Yes, the breech was cleaned. It went thru 2-3 o-rings, and they're the correct size from the DP parts kit. TechT bolt has been ordered. Just wondered if there is anything to do for the time being

make sure you are using a 90 duro oring not a softer 70 duro one. if you use the softer one it will get chewed up easier
