Why cilantro sucks

1) it tastes like soap
2) one molecule of it will **** up the taste of every dish
3) hipster fags love it
4) taco bell infuses their rice in it
5) it taste like HORSE ****

1. Yes. But I'm in the red part of California, so no hipsters allowed.

2. No. It's not meant to be eaten by itself. Maybe that's your problem.

Cilantro is an essential seasoning in just about everything I cook.

****, I even put it in stuff I don't cook. I'll throw that **** in some tuna with some lemon and olive oil and it will taste amazing.

I came in here expecting a discussion about the Mexican singer Cilantro.

I don't eat it by itself. I'm just saying, there has been many times that I have gone to restaurants (particularly Hispanic ones) and my food has been ruined because of that stupid herb, that for some reason, has become so popular to use even though it tastes like cleaning solution.

It doesn't take like soap to you?! I actually read a study last week about how for some people, Cilantro tastes like soap, while others find it doesn't at all. I am one of those that tastes soap whenever cilantro is in my food.

For instance, a couple weeks ago I went to a local Asian restaurant and ordered some pho. On the side they gave me some herbs and veggies. One of the herbs was cilantro, and I didn't know it. I put a small pinch of the herb in my pho, and BAM! It was ruined.

The smallest amount ruins food for me.

It has kind of a musty taste to me. I like a tiny bit in guacamole and other citrusy food, but it's way over used. It's parsley all over again, only this is a less palatable garnish and the taste lingers.

No **** idiot. If you would have read my other posts you will see I said "everyone is using it now and I don't know why." You're right, I don't eat much food. Only one meal every 3 weeks. I am a malnourished African child.

You're an idiot.

Good places? Taco Bell uses it. I guess they are considered gourmet food by your standards, right?
