I haven't had an issue like that, but I don't have the speed feed yet

It won't happen without the speed feed cause the lid is so big and open the paint has time and room to escape to the front of the hopper. This is minor as of right now. I'd say once different companies come out with their own lids or speed feed mechanisms it will work just fine. I think the finger design holds its potential back.

Well from what ive read in paintball news section of the forum there are lots of people that are having a small issue with just the speed feed. i think its coming down more to personal preference. I think im just going to put a km spine feed or something else that may work a little better than the fingers on the crown speed feed.

Why don't you try it first and get your own opinion instead of making one based on a few people. That way your input would be that much more reliable.

Love my Spire! No problems with the Virtue Speedfeed.

Thanks Virtue for this insane product!

Im basing my opinion on what ive already noticed. And im also saying its not just me that is seeing the issue. Hell virtue knows the crown feeds fingers are to stiff. So before you come with some nonsense like this read a little. You dont even have the speed feed so im not even sure why your commenting.

I did change some fingers around and put a smaller one up front and milled a little off my empire pods necks to fit down into the speed feed. seems to work much better. The pods that neck out towards the top like the empire pods with 3 tabs on the top do not fit down into the speed feed so it will make it more difficult to load. Since i have milled them it seems to be much better. Your choice of pod will greatly help loading issues. But I am thinking that once new speed feeds become available for the spire or I modify one myself it is going to be a great loader.

I got ya, I did have that problem when I loaded one time BUT I'm sure once I get use to how low I can shoot the paint before I need to reload it won't be an issue.... I hope With the capacity at 200 it shouldn't be a problem once you get use to it.

yeah thats the good thing about it being a 200 capacity loader. i havent actually tested that theory of 200 but it seems that when I get down to the last 20-30 balls that it should take a pod easily. I just gotta get the speed feed swapped and I'll love this hopper.

Played tourney ball all day with my spire. Worked flawlessly. Speed feed wasn't much of an issue either. I will be swapping it out for an epic or something still but it was pretty easily over looked if someone doesn't wanna spend more money on another speed feed. I'm still not thrilled with it but the hopper itself worked outstanding.

I got one with a speedfeed when they came out , got 7-8 cases thru it no issues except battery life and broken fingers on speedfeed. Other than that great loader very reliable. Maint. is a breeze. no need for all the spare parts you need for a rotor. also i have heard of guys using parts from rotor speed feeds to avoid the bad virtue fingers. havent tried it yet tho

Absolutely hate it. I could go on and on why I dont like it but guys will just bash and argue with me and im not in the mood to argue.

Its just a personal prefrence thing I guess. Went back with the Rotors and love them. Personally in the 3 years Iv'e been using Rotors Iv'e had one minor jam.

Spire shape reminds me of the ricochet loader from back in the day.

Yeah i thought the same thing when I saw it ^.

As far as the quick connect and disconnect between the speedfeed and the lid, thats amazing, same with taking apart and putting back together.

I guess my biggest complain about this loader is the reloading. I had to keep tilting my gun downward to get all the paint from my pod into the hopper. I just felt like I was able to reload as fast as I could with my Rotor. Maybe I just needed to give it more time, I dont know. But I figured that If im unhappy with it right off the bat, I might as well go back to something that I'm happy with.
