Ive had my GT for about 3 months now and I absolutely love it! It is a pretty smooth shooter. But there is a little more "kick" than I would like in the gun. For comparison purposes I shot my Droid side by side and the Droid was smoother. Both guns are on all stock settings. I was using Militia Lube and switched to Monkey Poo with no noticeable difference. I usually underbore my paint and over bore doesnt seem to affect the "kick" at all. My velocity is right around 285. So I would like to pick the brains of the MD community.

Also, the gun initially had a solenoid issue which was replaced.

i have a theory about that... pls correct me if im wrong

if you have a lighter set up with the clone, than the droid (lighter could even be just a feeling, depending on how well balanced your marker is from barrel to tank) when you shoot the gun... then it will feel kicky because of the amount of energy you are using to propel the ball, will produce the same amount of energy in the opposite direction, which will not be that well supressed by the weight of the setup as in the droid, either because of the droid setup is heavier or just feel "heavier" due to the balance relation as i stated before

I would have to say that the Kick, on any marker has to do with operating pressure and oring fitment.
Would chech into pressures, and Valve / switch oring fitment. If these are worn you will have to run a higher pressure to get them to seal and shoot at desired FPS.

the difference in kick is in the weight, the Droid is a much heavier gun than the Clone GT!

weight difference, thats the only time i notice kick... my teammate
s CloneGT has a 45/4500 tank with a CF tip...while i use a 68/4500 and a regular barrel. his is easier to move around with.. but i noticed the kick a lot more compared to mine.

So I finally got the chance to check the pressure of the GT. It is sitting right at 100psi.
