Barrels

Hey Guys,

I was wondering what barrels yall prefer.. I am looking at a Stiffi kit, Empire Freak kit. Really don't want to pay 200$ for a barrel kit. I have the Empire Nightstick already shoots great!! But I am wanting a bore kit with out adding a extra 2 inches to my 14 in barrel..

Thanks!

Anyone have any Axe upgrade parts they are wanting to sell?

I like the stiffi switch. But the end of the barrel looks terrible.

Deadly Winds Fibur barrel takes freak inserts and is light as hell. Personally I shoot a Dye Boomstick but DW Fibur barrel is my next choice.

I only use a Freak kit because I picked a full set on ebay for $75. Works great. No complaints.

If you're not in a hurry, that might be a good plan. You could always keep an eye out locally on craigslist.

Buy both bore sizes of the Lurker Eigenbarrels. $60 for two barrels and no need for a kit.

Deadly Wind Fibur. As KNOM said it takes Freak inserts, so it shoots just the same as a Freak. Only difference is it's about 6x lighter.

That's what I plan on doing, but where are you seeing $60 for two? That's a sweet deal!

+1 eigenbarrels shoot money and for $39 a barrel you can't beat the price

I have both the Lurker Eigenbarrel set, and a Super Freak kit.

Right now I'm preferring the Super Freak kit due to the flexibility, and partly because I love the look w/ the carbon fiber tip.

The Eigenbarrels, though, are your best bet for inexpensive barrels. You can get both for like 84 bucks shipped, and they give you a wide range of flexibility since you can technically underbore near .08. So you can't go wrong there.

The Lurker seems to have a slightly quieter sound signature, but overall both sound great.

You can't go wrong with either set, honestly.

My bad, I was thinking of the bolt's price, lol

I stand by my statement. Even at $80 for the pair, they beat anything else I've tried.

Get a Disruptive 2-piece barrel. You choose your front and back colors, the bore size, and the length of the barrel for $50. You won't be disappointed!

Just pulled the trigger and placed an order for the two barrels. $80.50 shipped. Excited!

You think you're excited now, wait till you shoot them! You should be able to use the .678 with all but the most brittle paint (and even then, most will be OK). I'd bust out the .684 when winter rolls around. Have fun!

Okay, time for me to show my stupid side and ask a question that's probably already been answered a few dozen times. Please forgive me, I'm a rec player who just got back into paintball after a ~16 year hiatus. Back in the old days, "underboring" didn't exist. I understand the concept theoretically, but how do you actually DO it? What I mean by that is, how do you select the most appropriate barrel for a given paint?

I'm on the verge of ordering an eigenbarrel and I was going to get the larger size, since most of my playing will likely be with cheap (highly variable? typically larger?) field paint. Does that make sense?
