Gun and tank help needed.

I'm curious as too which gun you would recommend for me and which tank would be better. I have a budget of about $500 for a gun so i can't decide between an etek 3 or an axe. I'm 6'1 and around 210'lbs, i figured i'd play on back snake or Doritos just because those two places feel the most comfortable.

I have no clue as to which tank would be best for either gun. I also have no clue on which pack would fight nice if i have a 36 inch waist.

Thank you for your help ahead of time.

Why only an Etek3 or an Axe?

Why not:

Infinity Legend
Angel 06 Speed
Angel A1 Fly (not A1)
Angel A1 Fly SE
Angel SB
Bob Long Vice
Bob Long Protege
Bob Long Closer
Bob Long Marq6
Macdev Cyborg RX
Macdev 07 Cyborg
Macdev Drone
Macdev Droid
Smart Parts shocker with a Pooty51 FF bolt kit, NDZ Stinger V3m or Lurker Eigenbolt and a Virtue LED board?
Dangerous Power FX

These are all amazing options and to be frank, I'd take about all of them over the two you listed.

But here, flip through this a bit: http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=3655911

I would get the etek and a 68/45 from ninja. They run around $150 i think. Get what size you would like but pick NINJA!!! They keep right up with planet eclipse's customer service. Simply amazing. If you go with those 2 then you got 2 pieces of equipment that are sturdy, reliable, and if something does go wrong, then you got the best service in the sport!

EDIT: right now im shooting a Bob Long Vice and a 68/45 ninja. I use a vice simply because i like the feel, but ive shot just about every planet eclipse gun and loved it. Owned a few too. When the rare occasion occurred that i needed to fix something, i just sent it in. It also helped that my field owner/sponsor is a certified planet eclipse tech. Good luck

I would suggest the Ninja Pro adjustable with the Axe.

Hey jobin, Im about the same size as you with around the same size waist.
So we should be about the same size hands (don't count on my logic)
The best markers that fit me and my body are any poppit style markers and the luxe(it's kind of a large spool valve)

all with a 68/45 empire tank.. My best suggestion is finding something you like.
I like dp a lot, Pretty dependable if you take care of them.
I've only ever had problems with planet eclipse except geo 2's and the last 2 years of egos. All eteks For me have had MASSIVE problems. Always leaking.. Bad noids.. Horrible efficiency..
My best suggestion would be start with something simple.
Dp G4
Axe
Mini

those are all simple to maintain and somewhat dependable. If your seriously going to get into paintball, I would suggest a mid to high end. Such as a very upped axe, Or a luxe. Maybe a bob long. Im not very familiar with bob long though..

Good luck in joining the game!

Eteks are super reliable if you take care of them, although I've had countless occasions of having someone bring their ego/etek to me and saying it has poor consistency and major dropoff, but with a lot of kick, and I have top open the ram chamber, pull out the ram and bolt, and everything's just caked in ****.

After cleaning/relubing, though, everything's golden.

I would suggest against a luxe. You may be in for more than you may want to be in for, if that makes sense.

Bob Long makes absolute wonders of paintball markers, but they are picky about how they are taken care of, so results can vary from Plane Eclipse performance to ungodly smoothness and efficiency.

Look for something that you will feel good shooting and stick with it.

I also am not a big proponent of Ninja tanks. Obviously nothing wrong, but they are too susceptible to damage in the regulator area and bottleneck area, which tends to cause the need to buy a completely new tank.

I love the pre-SS crossfire tanks and newer CP tanks as far as reliability, consistency and performance.

Between the two, Etek. In all honesty though, just go out and play a few games with both, and get whichever one you like best. Both have a good list off upgrades.

Why not play all over. Being able to play all positions is much better than mastering just one, not to mention not making a move because you didn't feel comfortable in the next bunker is a horrible excuse.

There really isn't a best tank out there. Ninja, Guerrilla Air, and Crossfire all make great products, so you really can't go wrong with any. Ninja currently seems to be the most popular as for regs, and being as adjustable as they are is very nice.

I have a 34/46 waist, and I've not come across any pack that didn't fit right, so you shouldn't have too much trouble. Empire, NXE, Lyst, HK, etc, there are a ton of choices.

I'd recommend the Axe. I've had problems with my Etek 3. I would recommend getting a G6r or some other Bob Long Intimidator. They're worth the money in consistency, speed, and accuracy. Good luck though! Hope you find something good!

as far as guns just go try them both and pick the one that feels the best to you. Now the tank... i love my ninja pro reg on a 68/45 Carlton(bought it from a used tank site for a decent price). and im about 6'2 185lb so im close as far as height to you, also i have a nxe pack that fits just fine with room to expand. (34 waist)

I prefer the ninja reg over the myth reg that came with the GA tank. I've never had a problem with it - my myth reg has given me nothing but problems.

I currently run two tanks both with ninja regs and both have been problem free - I toss the myth reg in the trash.

I'd take a DP FX over an AXE for the same price. FX has more features and a better board.
