Anyone in here ever have to get a refund from google?
Due to some glitchy **** I ordered 1 nexus 10 and got 2. I refused delivery on the second one to get a refund (as the google people told me to do). I got an email yesterday saying the money was refunded but it never showed up. Also, I had to pay off my credit card between ordering the nexus 10 and them claiming to give me a refund. So as of now I've paid close to 900 bucks for a nexus 10 and I guess I'm just hoping something glitchy didn't happen and I'm out that money. Has something like this happened to anyone before? You think I just need to wait a few days for it to show up or should I call them immediately after work today?

Wait so you ordered one and got two but paid for two? My friend ordered an N7 but they sent him two on accident so he just kept the second one. I would call just to check in with them though

The order got processed twice. I essentially ordered 2, cancelled one but it was too late (**** that, it was like 4 minutes after I ordered it that I realized what happened....it's **** like this google...). So because I cancelled the second one too late they sent it anyway. The only way to get my money back was to refuse delivery when it arrived. I did this. I had to pay off my credit card though while I was waiting to get the money back and it still had the 435 dollar charge on my card from the nexus I sent back. I paid it off because I had the money and I figured they would reimburse me when it all got processed.

Hey guys, how's it going?
I've been a pretty die hard iPhone user for a while now, nothing fancy, no jailbreaks or whatnot, just enjoyed the phone, but recently sold my 5 to pay some bills. I've had android phones in the past (Droid, Incredible, LG Optimus, One X, Evo 4g LTE, S3) but never really liked what I had.
So now I have a dumb phone that doesn't charge, so I need something used and off contract, and cheap. Looking into most likely getting something along the lines of the Droid X, because it's like $50 in my area. My question becomes, I'd like to root the phone because motorola android bugs me. What's the easiest way to do this? If it makes any difference the only computer I have right now is my macbook pro.
Thanks in advance guys!

Go for a Bionic instead. They are bulletproof with ICS now and still have Jellybean to go next month/early 2013.

give it a day or two, i ordered an 8gb N7, canceled it and ordered a 16gb and they told me to wait 3 business days for the refund to come through..if you are paranoid though give em a call, theyre open 24/7 i do believe and super helpful on the phone. but it did take maybe 3 days for my refund
edit- Finally started to us XBMC instead of itunes, the remote app is ****ing win..instantaneous control of my PC and the volume rockers on your phone/tab control the volume, sweet. Still have to get used to it though

I definitely do get a little paranoid sometimes but I'll give it another day or two before totally freaking out. Thanks man.

check out XDA for rooting guides for specific phones..the DX on a custom rom is very nice for $50

That's good news. Thanks a bunch.
By the way, does anyone here have issues with their S3 connecting to Kies? Does it not work if you root? Because I haven't been able to connect it since. Now that I have the paranoid android ROM installed it just says something along the lines of unknown hardware error and doesn't recognize my phone. I am slightly tempted to try out the ATT release of JB but if I have to put too much work into getting it working I'll just stick with PA for now.

I'd love to have a nicer phone than the X, but the only bionics in my area are $250+, and I'd get one online but my current phone doesn't charge so I need something ASAP.

Anyone know if theres a fix for all of the sd card being transferred into the /0?
I flashed a new jellybelly build and it transferred everything.

I think the latest CWM will fix it.

Forgot to ask, what root programs (if that's the right term) do you guys like, or what have you found to work the best in most cases? I want to do some customizing, but i still want it to be extremely stable. This is my first time rooting so easier and more fool proof is better lol
Edit: I did do some looking around on XDA, I just honestly am not really sure what to look for when picking out a rom

I'm using TWRP now, but I had to save "sdcard" to PC and wipe to fix.
