no my velocity was fine. Did you buy the gun new or used. If you bought it used I would clean it good set everything back to factory settings and then retune.

to sort the reg

check the piston oring replace if damaged
check the 008 oring found inside the velocity adjuster, replace if damaged, lube well with dow 33

then do the basics

1. try different tanks
2. bore match/underbore
3. fresh brand name battery
4. turn both solenoid dials to 10, lpr out to flush, return board to stock
5. reluce lpr/re-oil rammer and check all orings for damage/wear.

We might need to change out the reg top. If it is made out of nickel...or is any color other than Brass...give me a call at the shop in RI. If the marker is still in warranty...I'm happy to send you out a new adjuster top which might help with the bleed off.

You can reach me at: 401-289-2832 up till 6pm E.S.T. Mon-Thu and till 2 on Fri.

Are you sure it's a leak? I noticed it lets a very small amount of exhaust out of the reg after a shot from my Ego and apparently that's normal functioning of the reg.

response from jack in another thread

"You will get a tiny puff of air each shot as the piston moves up and down. The hole is actually there to allow the piston to "breath" as it cycles up and down and the volume between the bottom of the piston face and top of the adjuster screw increases and decreases.

If the puff of air is a propper puff of air, then the first thing I would do is replace the #008 o-ring inside the top of the adjuster assembly with a new #008. This is a bit fiddly and easiest done with the adjuster split in half and the old o-ring removed and replaced from the INSIDE of the adjuster top rather than trying to poke it down the hole in the top that the piston shaft goes through.

You can also replace the #16 o-ring on the top of the piston with a 14x2 o-ring if you feel the piston o-ring is a bit too loose in the reg body."

Maybe that'll help
