I have both the infamous board and YAK. the yak is nice but does the same thing the infamous will do, shoot paintballs. unless you change settings when you go play say from semi to PSP or your BPS the yak is really not needed.

and honestly I always say go with a 360. looks good and works even better

If you know anyone with basic soldering skills you can make your own button plate for your board. I did that for my A-Bomb when my membrane pad died and it worked great. Didn't take much in the way of parts either, just two buttons (or 3 if you have a Frenzy board), a piece of a breadboard cut to fit in the slot where the membrane pad would go to hold the buttons, and wires to connect the buttons to the backside of the membrane pad connector.

if you can find one used for a good price get it, otherwise print out the manual or just remember what color mode change is. As far as the 2litre goes its been a personal favorite and aka has been known for making the best regs in paintball for years.

Sounds like you've got your heart set on the YAK board, so go for it!

Originally I was set on getting either an LCD or OLED board for my species build, but I gutted an alias that I got off of ebay and it came with an infamous board, so I gave that a go.
It was my first LED board and while the OLED/LCD would be a tad more convenient for going between pre-stored modes (PSP, Semi, etc.), it really doesn't take that long to do the same thing with the infamous.

If money ain't no thang just do it. otherwise, save some bucks and put that money into something else...like a sweet anno

2liter has always been one of the most consistent regulators. It isn't the greatest looking though. Personally I'd go with the BL 360.

because it was originally designed for low pressure markers, like an intimidator. If you don't want an aka, go for the BL 360. just don't throw a ****ty CP reg on it

I say the 2 liter, STS, or a sidewinder. Standard virtue board is good, I had one in my old Dark timmy.

I'd second the 360 reg, considerably cheaper than the AKA stuff, user serviceable, and my guess is probably not significantly less consistent.

Interesting how now that it's no longer the new Reg on the Block the CP is constantly being ripped apart. Between 2006 - 2008 it was all the rage and it was the most popular reg sold
bar none. Now that the honeymoon is over it's the old hag. LOL

The same thing happened with the WAS Boards. Once the gem of PB, later relegated to POS Status.

The CP Reg's only downfall is it's extremely short adjustment window. Outside of that it is a solid reg. Once you learn its tuning range, you will be able to set it just as easily as any
other quality reg and and it will perform consistently.

360>2-Liter.
I wont revisit the whole AKA Regulator myth AGAIN, but just know that its not some super reg that will outperform all other regs as many would have you believe.
I have plenty of Torpedo Regs that are just as consistent as AKA Regs and the only Reg I've found to consistently edge them out (just barely) is the BL 360.

I'd say all the parts outside the Alias Trigger are on the money. Stay with the Hybrid Adjustable Ram Cap. It's superior to the CP.

I agree with the CP statement.

As for the 360 vs aka... they are both more than capable. I read the hugely wrong vs thread posted years ago and dont need it brought up LOL. However my reasoning for getting an AKA is to match the SCMIII better in looks AND that way i can use OIL for both at the same time for basic maintenance.

And thanks for the advise on the CP ram cap... Hybrid is the way it will stay!

As for the trigger... no on the stock alias trigger?? What would you suggest? I want to find a techna, but they are hard to find and expensive!

IOG has several Bearing Triggers for sale at reasonable prices. Stock Alias Trigger is not ergonomically correct and without bearings it has slop and lacks the crispness and precision of a bearing Trigger.

When i buy parts it's for reliability and ease of use. The cp reg has to be fine adjusted, and the up keep is more than an Aka reg. it's all personal preference, even when it comes to looks I prefer the aka. But what do I know, this guy WAS the blast manual specialist
