Proper positioning of eyes?

Howdy,

I'm getting ready to install break-beam eyes into my Model 98, and am wondering what the ideal position of the eyes is relative to a loaded paintball. My instinct is to center them on the ball horizontally, but place them low vertically, just high enough to ensure it sees the ball even if the gun is shaken around.

Any thoughts/specific locations"

That sounds about right. You don't want them to high in the breech otherwise the gun will fire as soon as the beam is broken and it might chop the ball. I installed eyes on a spyder and they sit low in the breech maybe a 1/16 of an inch off the bottom. Hopefully that will help you out.

Yup you want them low so the ball hits the bottom of the breach...then the ball fires.

Usually you can compensate a little with eye delay... if your board has it.
