Hi I have a virtue board in my axe and just want to make sure i set the dwell right. In the manual it says some guns are measured in milliseconds and half milliseconds. It gives a example for the mini but not the axe, does a stock mini run the same psi as a stock axe (7ms?) it saying to set the dwell to 14 to get 7ms i guess? I have infamous bolt so I'm just wondering to get 3ms do i put 3.0ms or 6.0ms?

The dwell in the Mini and Axe are both measured in milliseconds. According the the Virtue manual I'm reading it says the board does it in 1/2ms increments. Meaning 10=5ms...so if you want you dwell to be 3ms you need to set the dwell to 6.

also why is the open dwell and closing dwell, should i set them the same? previous board i have used just have dwell no open or close

just got a e-mail from virtue he said 3.0 = 3ms not 6.0 i find at 6.0 my consistancy is off

WTH? Really? Wow their manual sucks then. I read it off and almost quote it verbatim. Well I apologize for confusing you then. Glad you got things worked out.

my virtue redefined board is one blink equals .5ms dwell. so mine blinks 9 times for my dwell of 4.5ms.

I am using the Virtue OLED I find my consistacy is off when i shoot my axe with infamous bolt with the dwell at 6.0 on the board im going to try again this weekend at 3.0. Also who does it have a open and close dwell?

that makes sense that the OLED would just display the dwell in ms, no blinks for you to count!

the reason it has open and closing dwell is because the axe uses a two way solenoid, which seals at the top and bottom. so open dwell is for the forward stroke, and closing dwell is the time it stays open while the bolt system resets.
