Appraisal
Can anyone tell me what this marq is worth? I know it is a darq marq, and they are relatively rare in the deep red.
I just want all the info I can get on it and an approximate value. Comes with 4C eyes and a tadao board. Barrel is a CF boomstick.

Tadao M8 and 4c eyes were standard on the Darq. I hadn't realized that the cam drives were getting less common... I find they are indeed one of the better ASA's I've used. I even picked up an extra one for my Dragon project.
As for value, Rule #16 kind of prohibits appraisal threads, but the long-standing rule of thumb among Darq owners was to not take anything less than $650. That was a while ago. I think they're still worth that myself, bone stock, but I see them in the BST for quite a bit less. If you do a title search for "Darq" in the Electronic BST, you'll find a number of them out there to base a value on.

Sorry for violating a rule if I did here boss just trying to get info. I did do the search and found almost no gloss red ones which is why I asked. Saw quite a few golds for 500 or so but they were pretty dinged up.

Unless I'm losing my mind, there were something like 20 of each color done. A couple special jobs were done, like the two factory sponge anno Darqs. A few of each were redone in other color setups, including my own. There's a hell of a story behind that one.
Honestly, I think there's a ton more value to a true afficianado of Bob's work, and the Marq Gen1 platform, than to the general buying public. A lot of the buyers out there look at a Darq and think "oh, it's just like any other Marq". Functionally, sure, but these are guns with real soul, and that can't be matched by any Ego or DM out there today or in the past.

I think there was a bit more golds done but like different shades of gold? lol.
I would sell this darq for no less than probably 750-9 especially with the boomy adding another 110 right there. What do you think?

Define a custom anodized closer? If it is that ugly green one with the sub-par engraving there is a reason you can get it for sub 5

IIRC, the exact number of true Darqs was 126 Darqs, and then a few stragglers (RL Marq, Arsenal Marq). One of the 126 was destroyed, one was stolen and probably anno'd over.

He did WHAT????? That's a damn travesty, but not unexpected from him.
Do we have a "barfing" emoticon?
There's also the one that was mostly destroyed, but I hear Bob's shop brought that one back to life. Something about being run over by a truck.
