Thats a cool frog, Cory. I like the color contrast between his skin and the plant he is on.

I think a lower angle would make the image more dramatic. Shooting the small stuff requires a lot of stooping/kneeling/lying down.

It was for my nature and scenic class. I was using a macro + a ring flash and I literally gave a classmate the ring flash right before this guy jumped on my tripod.

I plan on doing a lot more macro work coming up within the next few weeks.

I have the nicest park ever across the street from my studio and I realized today how much I take it for granted, went for a walk and instagramed today, but I want to think of some creative portfolio series to base around it.

I'm jealous of all you kids who are actually in college/school for photography, kinda wish I'd gone that way.

you do and dont. I kinda regret going to school for photography. I sound douchey but im not really learning anything I feel like. A lot of my classes, even being in higher level classes, I still feel like that. Honestly I want to change it but that entitles me for more school and that's the last thing I really want.

Going to school for photography is a double edged sword. While you get loads of experience. It can also lead to apathy/distaste. The fact is, 75% of "artists" are douchey hopefuls trying to sound intelligent. It gets old.

Outkast: looks like a nice morning. Ive always wanted to go shoot hot balloons.

I'll show my noobness; how do you avoid pictures like this? I struggle with portraits big time.

How do you like the 1.4?

I'm debating between that or the 1.2, but if the 1.4 is solid enough overall I'd rather keep the extra $1,000 and put it toward a 70-200 2.8
