good mid level poppet?
so right now i have a creed which i love, except its haveing so i sent it in to get it fixed and i dont get it back for like 2 weeks. my backup is a g3 spec r and even though i love how easy it is to maintain, after try a buddys etek 4 i want to trade my spec r for a poppet. lets say i could add 100 bucks. any suggestions? i would try to trade somebody local
also, how reliable are the eteks and most poppets? and hows maintenance on them compared to spools? thanks

Extremely reliable. I haven't had a single problem that wasn't a two minute fix.

Best poppet valve guns are Eteks & Ego's
Etek : 2 , 3 & 4
Ego : 06 & up
For spools from what experience I've had I'd say Luxe , Dm series , Nt series , Mokal Aura , Machine Vapor Many more

I have a etek 3 and I love it. It's always reliable. And I bet u can find one kinda cheap now that the etek 4 is out.

I used to use a etek 3 it's amazing marker for the price point super reliable easy maintinence , it's a PE gun , and efficiency is alright, shoots pretty nice for a mid end to be honest

Most of the guns you listed are way out of the OP's price range.
The Eteks would be a good choice though. You can find plenty of Etek 3's on BST. Poppets IMO are easier to maintain. Less o-rings. Not everything is jammed into a single bolt assembly. Spools will give you a much smoother shot unless you are shooting an Ego 11 or G6R. |

This. One of the best guns I have ever owned. Crazy efficient (over a case). Built like a tank. Just works. Minimal maintenance. I could do a full rebuild+lube in 10-15min. Used for $350-$450.
I would also pick the Vice over the Etek 3. Toss up between it and the Etek 4. |
